Falling

chapter one.

This book does contain things like self harm and depression so if those kind of things aren't for you then you don't have to read this book as it's not for everyone. I will put a warning at the beginning of chapters if people would like so they don't have to read it. Also I will put a quick summary at the end so people know what happens and still don't miss out.

Nobody knows what really goes on in others lives, what happens when no one can see. You can never be too quick to judge someone, you might not even know how much they're hurting inside.

You see, this girl might look like she's okay - sure some things have gone wrong, but she's still okay. You see her smiling or laughing, yet she's not happy. When she's trudging around the corridors, you don't notice the sadness in her eyes, her fake laugh or smile.

Teachers think she's a good kid; she sometimes gets in trouble but she's never been too naughty. Even they don't notice how lonely she feels on the inside, how dark her mind is at night. She's scared - too scared - to let out her feeling, constantly afraid people will think she isn't strong. She's always tired and isn't bothered to do anything anymore. She knows it isn't healthy to feel like this, but what can she do?

She doesn't want to end up known as a crazy person, being on drugs to help her cope; she doesn't want the world knowing she's not okay.

Yet, she doesn't say a thing, still siting alone in the corner of her mind, still wanting a way out but not knowing how, still hoping someone notices. Hoping she can be saved by someone new.

She wants someone to see the sadness in her eyes and take it away, she needs somebody to tell her that everything will be okay. She's young, scared, afraid - unable to deal with it.

She walks to the kitchen to get some water, her mouth dry, her tongue like sandpaper. She's numb, her mind blank.

As she watches the glass smash to the floor,
the water splashing on her feet, she picks it up in her hand. She doesn't know what she's doing, or why she started doing it in the first place, but she still took the shard in her hand and squeezed it until she feels it piercing through her flesh, tearing her skin. Blood trickles out of her hand, yet she feels nothing. She stares at her hand, too afraid to speak. Shaking, she drops the glass and left her crime scene.

Not knowing where she's going, she sets off in an attempt to run away, away from her problems that she's not strong enough to face on her own. She doesn't know that it's okay to ask help was okay, that you can't do everything on your own.

As she arrives at a local park, she sits down by a tree and cries. Her tears fall for her mothers loss, for her farther leaving, and for everything in between that went oh so wrong. She doesn't care who walks past or who sees, her she just let it all out.

Now, people think she hasn't gone through a lot, but this girl has been through more than most. Her mother sadly passed away when she was 10 years old from cancer, and her father left when her mother died. He wasn't able to cope with the loss, and seeing his daughter every day who is most identical to her mother hurt him too much. She's had to deal with losing both parents and moving house in an attempt to repair what was lost. When her father left she moved in with her grandparents. They were her parental figures going through childhood, and loved her dearly.

But, it was never the same.

She did love her grandmother and grandfather but it just didn't resemble having a mother or father. It never would, but she is still grateful for them.

So I've decided to start a new story as this idea just came to me and I really wanted to give it a go so tell me what you think. Don't worry tho I will still be continuing moon children I just didn't have any inspiration

Summary

Describes how odette feels lonely and numb and that she wants to be saved. She runs away to a park and cries for her mother and farther.
