Loneliness has been my best friend since the day I was born been lost and abandoned for reasons I don't know
Been around other kids who are strangers in a crowded house not knowing who my family is I was confused and not knowing which direction to go
But I was young I assumed everyone was like me so I lived my life as best as I can and surprisingly my childhood was good
I've made a lot of friend's birthdays and Christmas where great times but I began realising I don't have a family something I never understood
I was a teenager when I found out I was an orphan and they don't know who or where my family is an abandoned house is where they found me
I was shocked and upset and confused to know that a mother can do such a thing was difficult to comprehend but why would she
I was doing well getting A in my grades respecting my elders and not breaking the law but finding out I'm an orphan everything has changed I could not pretend
Many months went by today is the day I packed my bag I was planning to runaway not a wise decision but I'm not alone I'm going with a friend

So we both began the journey towards the city early morning it was a beautiful sunny day were not the first orphans that have fled

I hear the key unlocking the door pretended I was asleep I hear two people talking about us and what there planning to do
I heard them say sex trafficking I'm not sure what that is but I know that there the bad guys and we need to escape but I didn't have a clue
There finally gone trying to untangle myself from the rope around my wrist then my friend woke up WTF she said where are we
I told her to be quite and explained everything don't worry let's try to untangle ourselves I will find out why and who is she
We were both scared not knowing if we would survive I'm sure we're not the first victims or won't be the last
Lisa my friend began to cry please don't cry I said I am sorry it's my fault but we need to escape so let's move fast
It took a while but I managed to free myself as I was approaching my friend someone was coming shit I said
I saw an empty beer bottle on the floor I ran grabbed it and hid beside the door the door unlocked and I smashed the bottle on a man's head
He fell unconscious but the BITCH was right behind him she grabbed my hand and slapped me in the face
I fell on the ground stay down she said as she approached the man to see if his okay I hope to god you're not a mother because you're a fucking disgrace
She turned and pointed a gun at me and said I was a mother with a daughter but not anymore
By her expression on her face she seemed upset what happened to her I asked none of your fucking business she said WHAT HAPPENED I shouted I abandoned her then she walked out and slammed the door
Are you crazy my friend said I think I've found my mother unless this is a coincidence?
But we do have a few things in common we are both black have similar hair the lips and the eyes her anger and she abandoned her child it may seem far-fetched but this does make sense

It's been a couple of hours it's dark not much in the room but a table and a bed we both decided to get some sleep and hope we survive another day
Surprisingly I had a good dream but unfortunately I'm waking up into a nightmare I need to come up with a plan
Daylight was coming through the window it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day then the door unlocks and there was that man
He had a bandage wrapped around his head he looked at me with a smile on his face as he was approaching me
He grabbed me and slap me hard in the face then he punched my stomach threw me on the floor he said that's for the head injury
Lisa is a heavy sleeper she never woke up my mouth was bleeding stomach was hurting spirit is broken

She approached me realising something is wrong your bleeding what happened then I explained the event
What an asshole she said come on I did smash a bottle on his head so I don't blame him we both laughed we both hugged we were happy for a moment
I wonder if they read my note I assume there reaction is with rage and confusion but I hope they understand and forgive
I'm only 15 Lisa is 16 we're young being in the situation makes me appreciate life so I want to live
So it's been days maybe a week they only come by to give us food to eat I hardly see the woman but I finally have a plan it's time to face the fear
I will confront her tell her what her daughter's name is use her emotions to my advantage speaking of which she is here

I began taking my jacket off does your daughter have a birth mark on her shoulder she ran and grabbed me and looked at my shoulder she gasped she didn't know what to say
She hugged me hard I am so sorry she said and began to cry but I pushed her away don't touch me I said
You kidnap kids and sell them how can you do that when you have a kid of your own someone like you should be dead
How dare you she said she began searching her back pocket are you looking for this mother she wasn't aware I took her gun
I pointed the gun at her Lisa close the door what are you going to do she said well I'm going to have some fun
The door was locked give me your phone I said she ignored me I approached her and gun bucked her forehead
Give me your phone she nodded and gave me the phone I tried to call the orphanage but there was no reception fuck I shouted I then sat on the bed
Lisa was looking out for anyone while I was looking at the photos what I saw was shocking
A lot of pictures of kids I'm guessing the victims and people I don't recognise probably the sick customers before I leave I want you to explain everything
She said she's part a gang that commits a lot of crimes such as selling drugs ID fraud and sex trafficking
While she was telling her story I was browsing the photos I saw pictures of her holding a baby suddenly the phone began ringing
It's a private number I threw the phone at her answer I said but act natural and pointed the gun
5 minutes later the conversation ended who's baby are you holding on the pictures she said it's you I had you when I was 21
It's a mistake I will always regret this is why I became this way the gang told me to leave you behind I had no choice
They needed me to work full time otherwise they would kill me I was just a commodity to them I didn't have a voice
If the story is true it wasn't her fault her tears seems genuine I believe and forgive you I said you're coming with us let's go
We both hugged each other I introduced her to Lisa so what's the plan I said we will escape tonight I will knock the door twice that's how you will know
We waited until the night knock knock I opened the door Shhh let's go we began walking slowly through a narrow hallway between many doors I was nervous
This was a big place holding Lisa's hand while checking the phone but still there was no service
We managed to get outside it was dark and quite we approached a car but she held my hand

But why then she said something very shocking I have terminal cancer And I only have a couple of months to live I can't believe this is true
I tried to convince her to come with us but in the end we hugged we cried
The driver is a friend of mine she said he will take you home it's over for me but you have your whole life to fulfil
Waving goodbye while the car drove away not knowing weather will see each other again but I doubt that we will
We're finally here outside the orphanage house I must tell them the truth my mother gave me a list of everyone who's involved they will not get away with this
We approached the door I took a deep breath we both looked and smiled at each other I rang the bell the door opened it was my friend Chris
We all hugged each other we went inside everyone was in shock I am sorry for running away and I will explain everything
I told them what happened and that I met my mother it sounded like a horror story some of them cried I said from now on I'll be a better person and no more lying
Many hours later the police got involved gave them the list I hope everyone gets arrested including my mother what she did was wrong
In my bedroom preying thanking god that I'm still alive I did forgive my mother but I will not forget for what she's done but it's a shame she won't live for long
