i was walking to moon park in sewickley, it was about sunset, i looked up at it. the sunsets here were always so beautiful, no wonder this place is called sunset town. i walked over to the park and climbed up onto some steps and sat at the top of a slide. it was chilly the coldness of the metal made my thighs cold even though i was wearing jeans.
i looked over and under a few slides and steps to see a boy that i knew, he was in my grade. his name is theo. "hey theo!" i guess he didn't notice me when i walked in. he was staring at the sunset with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. he turned around after hearing his name with a confused look on his face. a curl from his hair fell between his bushy eyebrows right above his green eyes, his cheeks and nose were flushed pink. it was chilly. "oh hey" he said with a bright smile on his face.
he got up from his spot and came and sat on the top of the slide with me and we started talking. we were talking about how much we disliked the obnoxious kids in our classes. we were both the quiet kids. right after i finished my sentence about how quiet we were he said "you were always my favorite." i smiled at him he smiled back, his cheeks still pink.
