Frenemies

Chapter 1

Abby's POV

I woke up and checked my phone then got out of bed and got ready for the day, it was also the first day of High School and I was really excited, but also horrified. What if high School is exactly what everyone says it is? And also my nemesis Alyssa will be there. Ugh.

*2 hours later*

After I got ready for school and ate breakfast I ran out of my house and got in my car and drove to school when I got there I saw so many of my older friends from middle school so I quickly grabbed my backpack from the back of the car and got out and ran over to Maya who was one of my best friends and before I knew it I saw Alyssa who stole my crush with my other friend Sofia, which sucks because we USED to be best friends.

"May!" I yelled as I ran up and embraced her in a tight hug. She hugged me back and laughed at how excited I was.

"Calm your farm! It's just High School, the last stop before College!" She yelled as a bunch of sophomores walked past.

"Ugh, Freshmen." They rolled their eyes at us and walked away.

"They're like Mrs Gibbons" May said trying to hold in her smile until the point where it just wasn't even an option.p and just burst out into a laughing fit.

We laughed to the point our stomachs ached and we were almost crying. "Come on, we should go find out where out lockers are." I say walking off but she just stood there now on her phone. "Nah I'll catch up with you later, Lyss and I are gonna go and find Bri." Great just great! Alyssa had already taken my crush and now my best friend, hopefully she would transfer out or something so we could all be merry.

"Whatever," I say rolling my eyes and walking away without a second glance.

"Abby! You can come too!" She yelled back I just kept walking and didn't look back.

I found my locker and looked around for some cute guys to crush on, but non of them were even as cute as Alex (Alyssas boyfriend). I unpacked my stuff and set my locker up how I wanted it. I checked my timetable and grabbed the appropriate books for that class and made my way to find Josie.

Alyssa's Pov:

I was standing in the school parking lot with my friend Sofia, she and I kinda grew apart after me and my ex-best friend, Abby, got into a huge fight and stopped talking. I glanced at all the yellow school busses lined up and watched as one by one they pulled up and kids flooded out of them.

"You must really miss him" Sof says after about 3 minutes.

"Well yeah he is my boyfriend." She laughs and nods.

"Can I sit with you today? Alex will be with all his friends, which I don't like and Bri will be with May, Who will be with Abby." I said looking at Sofia, she had natural beauty, everyone did except for me. Abby was pretty too but I didn't like her so she was ugly.

"Of course Lyss, But I was gonna sit with Marina and Josie, is that okay with you?"

"I guess..." I shrugged my shoulders and continued to look, Alex has to be here somewhere.

"Alyssa!" A familiar voiced called, I turned my head to see my boyfriend Alex running towards me. I ran up to him and jumped into his arms he wrapped his arms around my and spun me around, I buried my head into his shoulder and embraced his handsome scent.

"You're back," i whispered in his ear.

"I'm back." He confirmed. "Hey, I got you something, it's from the one and only Disneyland!" He said and pulled out of the hug. He opened his backpack to revile a grey hoodie with Mickey Mouse on it, with the writing 'Disneyland' above. I wrapped him into another hug and placed a kiss on his lips.

"Thank you." I say, I put on the hoodie and snuggle into it. A chorus of laughter irrupted from where Abby an Maya where standing. I looked at May and back at Alex.

"Hey, look I gotta got catch up with Tomas before class starts, see you at break?" I nodded and he kissed my forehead an walked off.

I trun back to see that Sofia had completely ditched me I looked at Maya an saw Abby talking to her I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone and texted Maya.

Alyssa: Hey have u seen Bri?

Maya: No she might not be here yet

Alyssa: Come wait with me? Sof just disappeared

Maya: Kk

She said goodbye to Abby and walked over. She hugged me and we waited for Bri by the front doors of Addison high school.

Abby's Pov:

The bell rang for lunch, finally! I grabbed my books an went straight to my locker. So far today I've had English, maths, History and English again. I hated my history teacher and my math teacher looks like one of those cliche librarians, but my English teacher is Awesome! He gave us free time in the last 15 minutes so he could have a power nap.

Once I reach my locker I throw the door open and Alyssa walks up  to the locker next me and opens it and puts her stuff in. Great, once again my locker was right besides Alyssa just like middle school.

"Hey Abs! Hey Lyss!" Marina jumped when she saw me, she was always so happy an that's why we all love her.

"Marina! Hey!" I saw as I wrap my arms around her, completely ignoring Alyssa.

"Wanna come to lunch with me and May? Wait I think Bri, Sof and Josie will be there too." I asked "It'll be just like middle school!" I yelled and really wish I didn't immediately because the same girls from this morning walked past and laughed.

"Nah, I think I'll sit with Lyss we haven't really done any catching up lately." I nodded and walked away. I tried not to let it bother me. Marina and Alyssa are friends too, no need to be jealous.

HEYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! Guys ily and youre amazing and yeah i miss talking to all of you ;( you know who y'all are ;))))) Anyyyyyywayyyyy me and my friend Alyssa are writing this book together i think bc its been awhile since she wrote sm but idkkkkkk love ya lyss
