Chapter 1:Backstabbers

Marinette POV
'Beep..... Beep..... Beep..... BEEP!!' WAHH!  DANG my alarm clock! Ugh..... What time is it? Oh No! It's 9.15 a.m.! I sighed and quickly got ready for school. I waved goodbye to my parents and ran out the door barely hearing their goodbyes.

I finally reached school and ran into the class. Unsurprisingly, no one noticed and just continued doing their things. Then when I was about to reach my seat, this is what I hear from my bff Alya,

"Ugh, she's so pathetic! She's always late for class and just acts like nothing happened! Stupid good for nothing,"I was really shocked at what she said, okay, I don't know if she's talking about me or not but that's just cruel!

"Yeah! I wish that I never became her friend at all! She was all happy and rubbing it in that kids face when she beat him in a stupid little game! She really has no shame!"Nino scoffed and grumbled, okay, that hurt, that stung.

"Tch, so true! I mean, it's way annoying when she stutters around me and blushes! I wish that she would just leave me alone and get out of my life!"That hurtful comment came from my crush and crime fighting partner Adrien Agreste. Yes I know he is cat noir because I asked Master Fu. Then I just noticed that I was just standing there and didn't move.

"Ms Dupain-Cheng get to your seat!"The teacher said obviously annoyed. Well at least she didn't get backstabbed by her friends! I just silently walked over to my 'friends' and they acted like nothing happened and greeted me cheerfully. I stayed silent as the tears threatened to fall out, I was wearing my sweater which always lifted my spirit. It said on it that 'heroes don't cry'. I am actually a superhero called ladybug. And as you noticed, Adrien is my partner, we are a duo in crime fighting. Adrien doesn't know that I'm ladybug, but if he did, I bet that he would take back everything he said about me just now.

I guess that that's just the thing, people don't really love you for who you are, they only love you depending  on your image.

Nobody POV
Class was finally over and Marinette ran out of the classroom unaware that three unwanted student were following her. She ran into her secret hiding spot in the school where no one knows. The students lost her but tracked her down by hearing her sobs and cry. The secret garden was beautiful, more beautiful than anything they ever saw.

"How could she keep this a secret from us? That bitch,"Alya muttered silently as they walked into the garden.

"Tikki, I just don't understand! I thought that they were my friends, I trusted them! At least now I know that I only have one friend, one loving, cute, funny, and cares for me friend,"Marinette sighed, sadness in her voice. The students who were once her friends thought that it was each them, but they were so wrong.

"And that's you Tikki! You always stuck by me, not like Chloe or Alya, Nino or Adrien! Your the only one I can trust with my secret. Honestly, I never thought that they thought that way about me, I was foolish! Do you..... Do you think that I should stop being ladybug?"Marinette questioned and the friends gasped, but their gasps didn't go unnoticed though.

"Who-Who's there?! Show yourself!"Marinette was in a battle stance kind of mode, the 'friends' laughed at her pathetic attempt to be brave.

'No way she could be ladybug! What a loser!"all the 'friends' had that thought in their minds.

"I guess I'm hearing things again....."Marinette sighed and sat back down.

"Don't worry Marinette, you still have me and your family!"A squeaky voice said.

"Your right! I still don't wanna see Chat during our patrol though..... Even though I found out that he's actually Adrien, he doesn't know that it's actually me under that mask, he'll be so disappointed!"Marinette sobbed as tears rolled down her cheeks and Alya and Nino were shocked and whipped their heads to Adrien who was trying to escape.
