THE BIRTH: PART 1

-Pilar's POV-

Its January, im finally back in New York waiting for my car to take me back home. i am super excited to see my family, and prepare for my new son's arrival.

--2 hours later--

-Pilar walks into a very dark house-

EVERYONE: SURPRIIIISSSSEEEEEE!!!

Pilar: oh my god!!

Devante: (runs to Pilar) hey honey! look at the sign... "The Baby Boy Is On The Way!!"

Pilar: this is my baby shower?

Devante: yes honey!! this is more than you coming back home, this is about how we have made it through the whole 9 months. 

Pilar: it is so good to be home! its a new year and we're getting ready for a new baby. thank you so much!

-Devante and Pilar kiss.-

--LATER THAT NIGHT--

Pilar: (walks into the bedroom) today was such a great day, babe.

Devante: it surely was. 

Pilar: man! that music sure was good! they played my favorite songs. 

-Pilar starts dancing and jumping around, but stops abruptly.-

Devante: whats wrong? (gets up and runs to her).

Pilar: (grabs stomach) i need to lay down. 

-Pilar starts to walk towards the bed, but her water breaks.-

Devante: oh shit! i didnt even get to fuck yet! 

Pilar: (hits Devante and giggles) get my bag, tell the sitter that we need to go. its a good thing that she stayed over tonight. 

-Devante leaves the room.-

Pilar: (picks up the phone) (says to self "pick up! pick up!) Mom?

Phyllis: yes honey? is everything alright? 

Pilar: yeah. im in labor. im going to the Lower Manhattan Hospital.

Phyllis: babe, thats too far away!

Pilar: yes! but thats the best hospital near New Jersey. the baby is not coming in an hour.  usually my labor lasts for a good 12 hours or more. 

Phyllis: okay, well im on my way to the hospital and im going to call Shaunie.

Pilar: did Malina already leave for LA?

Phyllis: im afraid so honey. ill call her though. ill see you there. 

Pilar: okay. (hangs up the phone)

--IN THE CAR--

Devante: jo-jo, drive a little bit faster.

Pilar: no! thats gonna make me nervous!

Dalvin: we'll be there in 30 minutes. 

Pilar: OH MYYYY GODDDDDDDAAAHHHH!! THIS SHIT HURTS!

Devante: its gonna be ok babe.

Pilar: thats easy for you to say. youre the reason why im in this mess now. all cuz you wanted to fuck. (shifting in her seat from being in so much pain).

K-ci: Jo-Jo take that exit, it's gonna get us there quicker. 

Dalvin: so what did your water break?

Pilar: 9:30.

Dalvin: okay, so its been 2 hours.

Devante: yea, cuz we needed to wait for yall. i forgot it was 45 minute drive from yall house to ours. its an extra 15 to get to the hospital. 

Pilar: this shit really does hurt. 

--ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL--

Devante: (runs to the desk) Hi! Pilar and I are here.

Doctor James: Hello! we need to put her in a wheelchair.

-Pilar and the boys entered into the room along with Dr. James.-

Dr. James: lets take a look at the baby. 

-He puts a sonogram camera on her uterus and gasps as if this was the craziest thing he has ever seen.-

Pilar: what's wrong?!

Dr. James: what are you supposed to be having again?

Pilar: a boy. right?

Dr. James: oh dear...
