His ex had disappeared for a long time. How long, exactly, he couldn't quite remember. Maybe 3 years? Maybe 4?
They were supposed to get married. He was going to make her his fianceé the day that she disappeared. But disappeared, she did, and without any trace. He thought she was throwing one of her tantrums. She often liked to play 'disappearing' games with him, just to see his anxious face as she looked at him from afar, giggling almost childishly. She liked to see his relief and love when she reappeared in front of him, safe and sound. He thought it was one of those times, except he quickly realised it wasn't. Because he had searched for her high and low, every place he could think of. One day, then two days passed. One week later, he still had no news of her. He knew this wasn't a game she was playing. No matter how immature or childish she could be, disappearing for a week wasn't normal.
The police listed her under the "Missing Persons" list. There was nothing they could do without any further information. But he wasn't going to give up. The love of his life.
Or so he thought.
