A.N: I know this is not my normal style of writing but it's how I wrote when I first started writing and so this is me still remembering where I started, but regardless I hope you enjoy.

A sound in the silence
Footsteps tiptoe ever so quietly avoiding attention
Only followed by the sharp sound of breaking glass
There she stood with a rock in her hand
Next to the now emotional mess of what remains
Fright expressed on her face as she looked into my eyes
Glossy eyes fill with tears running down her rosy cheeks
Hands covered in red with pieces of glass in her wrist
Lips moving but only whispers come out
"I'm sorry" she pleaded with no reason
Almost if she'd gone mad and had no other choice
Then in a flash she left without a trace
Leaving me to wonder the cold abyss
Walking in the dark with a void in my chest
I constantly trip and stumble soon falling
My mind escapes my body
Tumbling down the rabbit hole
No longer able to stand the suffering
My soul leaves my bones behind
Accepting it as a necessary loss
I fear as I might go mad
Overwhelmed with a sea of confusion
That leads to an ocean of emotional carnage
Toss and turned with the impossible task of staying afloat
Purely at the mercy of the waves of life
The storm has just begun....
