warnings: none(?)

You latched onto Bills arm as you two made your way down the dark street, your footsteps echoed down the road. Your heart thudded in your chest as you past one flickering street lamp, the darkness seemed to devour you, you shuddered and held back a whimper. Halting your footsteps you noticed you couldn't see in front of you, your legs turned into jelly. Why did you agree to see Bill this late? Your face was most definitely visibly pale, your breathing becoming uneven.

"Y-you uh, you o-okay (nickname)?" Bill spoke from beside you, you quickly snapped your head towards him, fast enough to get whiplash. You flushed bright red and shook your head 'no', he looked at you puzzled for a few moments until it clicked.

"Y-you're afraid o-of the dark, aren't you?" You blushed more and furiously shook your head side to side, making the stuttering boy laugh softly. He laced your fingers together and wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you close.

"What are you doing?" You said in a feeble voice, face pressed into Bills chest. He smelled like fresh cotton and something sweet you couldn't put your finger on, but it was nice just the same. He placed his chin on the top of your head, gently swaying back and forth. He hummed a tune and spun you around. You smiled and closed your eyes as you savored the moment, all the fear you had vanished as you focused on Bills comforting heartbeat. You two danced on the sidewalk for awhile. Soon rain started to fall, plopping on your heated cheeks. You smiled up at Bill, standing on your tippy toes you placed a chaste kiss on his nose. You giggled as his ears went red.

"Thank you, Billy boy," you whispered. Bill looked down and returned your smile in full, and your heart did a backflip. Your stomach filled with butterflies. The rain by now was pouring down on the both of you, soaking you to the bone. But you could care less. He was still swaying back and forth, you both pressed together, almost like if you stepped back one of you would disappear.
Bill has been one of your best friends for years, you smiled as you thought back. He was the same dorky boy you met years ago.

You smiled as the wind whizzed in your ears and blew your hair back as you pedaled your bike, you turned a corner and slammed into someone else's bike. You flew forward and the person you hit fell sideways, you threw your hands forward and skidded to a halt on the warm cement. You hissed in pain as you scrapped your hands and knees. You looked over to see a boy scurrying towards you, his head was bleeding slightly.

"A-are you o-okay?!" He gently grabbed your hands and looked them over. You nodded.

"I'm fine, sorry I should've watched where I was going," you sniffled, he looked up at you with apologetic eyes.

"Nuh-no, it was my fault, here," he stood and reached a hand out, which you took, wincing as he pulled you up.

"I-I'm Bill," he awkwardly stood there, shoving his hands in his pockets.

You shot a smile at him "I'm (name),"

You chuckled at the memory, your heart swelling. It didn't take long for you to develop a crush on him, you tried your best to keep it a secret but your curly haired trashmouth friend found out and constantly teases you about it. Much to Bills confusion, you would've thought he caught on by now with all the "Bill and (name) sitting in a tree, f-u-c-k-i-n-g"

"W-we should go," Bill said, glancing at the sky. You nodded in agreement and continued your journey home in the rain, laughing and jumping over puddles. You soon made it to the neighborhood sneaking to your house, Bill walked you up to your door.

"Thank you, again, Bill," you smiled up at him. He leaned down and kissed your forehead, both of your faces turning scarlet. He walked down the steps and halfway down your driveway before turning around.

"I-I'll see you t-tomorrow?" He questioned

"Tomorrow," you agreed, stepping inside and shutting the door quietly. You raced up the stairs into your room. You glanced out the window to see Bill safely enter his house, you sighed and smiled, changing into dry clothes and lying down on your soft bed. Your dreams consisted of Bill, one day you'll tell him.

Maybe.
