"That performance was astounding!" Scarlet exclaimed cheerfully.
"Why you gotta be so proper all the time? This is a concert, let loose," Kazarith teased,
playfully punching her on the shoulder.
"Oww! You don't have to be so rough!"
"Oh stop being such a wimp," Kaz rolled his eyes, laughing at Scarlet's angel weakness.
"You know bruise easily!" She jokingly snapped.
"Oh calm down you little puff ball...." Kazarith's voice trailed off as he gently pushed Scarlet and turned to the side, "that's Miku," He pointed out the famous Japanese pop star struggling through the crowd as she headed for the back door.
"Impossible, it must be a crazed fan. You know Hatsune Miku is only a hologram."
"Okay then why does she look so computerized, genius?" Kaz rudely asked.
"Perhaps the crew didn't turn off the projectors yet?" Scarlet reasoned, "and you do not need to give me so much attitude," she bickered.
Kazarith glared at her with deadly eyes as he said "Then she'd still be on the stage, you idiot," He paused, "I'm gonna go talk to her," the demon whipped around before Scarlet could respond.
"No, stop! What are you doing?"
Kazarith ignored her pleas and kept walking towards the back exit. Scarlet groaned and ran after him, hiding behind her towering friend with anxiety.
They reached the exit with painted letters reading "CREW ONLY."
"Oh well, guess we can't go in, guess we should just go then!" Scarlet began to walk away, but Kazarith grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her along.
"Don't be such a buzz kill!" He mumbled in annoyance.
"If we get caught I'm blaming you!"
"There she is!" Kaz exclaimed in a whisper. The presumable computer program had her back to her fans, and she was.....eating?
"See I told you she was real!" Scarlet jumped in front of Kaz with an angry look.
"You said she was just a crazed fan!"
"Exactly. Real." Scarlet corrected sternly.
Within their bickering, they almost missed Hatsune Miku tiptoeing away quietly.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Kaz called out to her.
Miku gasped, jumping with a startle. She turned around ever so slowly, and once facing them, her expression quickly turned to cheerful like a switch.
"Konichiwa!" Her anime eyes curved happily, her hand waving. She almost seemed...robotic. And her appearance looked like she popped right out of a computer.
The two friends stared at her perplexed for a moment. "....why do you look so weird?" Kazarith asked.
"Don't be so rude!" Scarlet punched him in the arm.
"Owww!" He mumbled.
"It's quite alright, I cannot be offended. I am only a program," Miku punctually explained.
"You can drop the act, we know you're faking," Kazarith said, unamused.
Hatsune Miku hesitated, holding her breath and anxious eyes. "Okay!" Miku's shoulders dropped as she let out a sigh. "I'm not really a computer program," Miku's meek eyes looked down at the floor.
Scarlet gasped in shock, her hand to her mouth. Kazarith just raised an eyebrow.
"My papa is an insane computer programmer," Miku began to explain, "A few years ago I was helping him with one of his purojekuto. Something went wrong, I got zapped by the computer, and now I look like this. Pichipichi. The whole "computer program pop star" thing is just a scam to hide my hajirai." Once again, Miku's eyes averted her fan's.
"Look what you did, you made her upset! I told you we shouldn't come in here," The angel yelled. The demon's grew wide in defense, but before he could say a snippy remark, Miku cut in.
"Don't worry about it, he didn't mean any harm."
"Still, I feel bad. Maybe we can make it up to you? I can make a mean dragon flower and goblin scale soup!" Scarlet offered.
"Demon food, that sounds umai!" Hatsune Miku agreed.
"Great! I can use Kazarith's kitchen."
"Wait why are we going to my place?" He protested.
"Because your house is closer. Plus, you got us into this mess," The angel giggled as her demon friend stared her down in anger. "Let's go!"
