Athenauem Universe 101
Lilith swung the scythe again, this time it was in a harsher way. Creating a gash on the dummy few inches from her.
"Woah.. you're on a roll." Trevor muttered in awe.
Trevor was Lilith's partner in dual missions. Unlike Lilith, who is only a part-timer, Trevor solely work for the Huntsman Organization. He is known for his charms and strengths although that wasn't the case for Lilith. She disliked the man for his bossy and annoying attitude.
Lilith let out a sigh before walking towards the dummy. This time, she shook her hand causing the shadow weapon to dissipate. A crack of her knuckles and then a punch, one after another. As her body was occupied with physical confrontation, her mind was playing a memory of what had happen.
It was another day for Lilith's part time job, though she wouldn't exactly call it a part-time job rather a hobby. Although it's not exactly one of the most favorable job. Catching delinquents or fugitives hiding inside the cities. The reason why this job is not entirely famous is because you would be risking your life. Not like she mind. Though you get a lot of dough depending on who you catch.
"Hello Lith, welcome to another job." Her boss smiled as she handed a file of her next target.
Lilith nodded back and looked at the file. An A-rank criminal, male, 41 and a shocker. She looked over the files once again, not missing a single detail. After rereading the files, she got up and grabbed her equipment before heading out.
27 minutes later, District 5: Shock Factory
Lilith looked up to see the electric towers. He was last seen here.. The Shock factory. She took a deep breath and walked around quietly. A faint smell of blood lingers in the air.
Thud
Lilith quietly followed the source of the noise and in front of her was the target. Down on the ground, a shadow horse pushing it's hoof on his chest, keeping him in place.
Lilith raised her hand and drew out a Shadow scythe, swung it towards the horse. But sadly she wasn't fast enough, the horse vanished before the scythe could hit it. She clicked her tongue as she held her ground, keeping her senses up.
"My my, another Shadow User. How pleased am I to finally meet one." A voice spoke in the darkness. "Not many are born as one. It would be a shame to hurt you so why don't you just scurry away."
"Not a chance." she replied, holding the scythe tightly.
"But I have business with the man behind you." The voice spoke once again.
"You can settle it with me." Lilith stated.
It was now silent. Lilith anxiously waited for the person to come out. Suddenly a tall and lithe man emerged from the shadows. His silver-golden eyes glisten in the dark and his black hair was slicked back forming spikes at the back of his head. He was wearing a long black robe that touched the ground. If one would look closely, the bottom half of the man was simply a phantom, non-existent, a puff of dark smoke compacted to form a figure.
Lilith looked at him in awe. He was dazzling, so to say, and his silver-golden eyes were captivating. As she continue to gaze at him, he smirked back causing her to fluster.
"Anything interesting you see?" He chuckled. Before she Could reply, his hand shot forward, dark matter extending in tendrils from his fingertips. The dark matter twisted in various forms and shape, entangling itself on her legs, locking her in place.
