Tragedy has struck
In downtown Brooklyn, young teen has taken her own life per local law enforcement. At 12:30 on Saturday, a young and vibrant Bethany Hancock jumped off her apartment building and fell to her death. There are rumors that Bethany was not herself the last few weeks, and that she she was becoming more and more distant from extracurricular activities. Her community is praying for her family to have strength in their time of need.
The Darkness swells in her chest. She can't breathe. He is to close. His hand slowly caressing her arm. She looks away; can't seem to look him in the eyes. A chill slowly rose up her spine, her hair standing up on end. She wants to run but can't seem to tell her legs to move, she is frozen in place. He traces his hand slowly down her arm, slowly pulling her close. He turns her head to look at him and she loses all function on how to breathe. So, close. He whispers in her ear, "Don't scream". The fear in her eyes is enough to tell him she won't. He lets her go and walks away into the night. She was hoping she imagined him, but she knew she didn't; she could still feel him where he had touched her. She stood there for a long time trying to catch her breath, that still hadn't come returned.
Who was he? What did he want with her? Why her?
Those were the questions running through her mind. She hadn't realized that the sun had started to rise. The Darkness was gone. For now, anyway. She knew he would be back. He always came back when she was alone. She sits on the steps watching the sunrise, listening to the birds singing their morning song. She closes her eyes to feel the sun on her skin, welcoming the warmth it provides.
