The Cave

I wake up,wondering where I am. On the ground somewhere? Everything's blurry and I can't think strait. Everything seems to clear up. I can't remember anything. I stand up with thoughts all jumbled up in my head "where am I, how did I get here, did I ever do anything, who am I." Wow, I must have hit my head on something really hard. "Wait I'm in a tent, how did I not realize that?" I look around and find a zipper so I can get out of the tent. I saw a lamp. The light from the dim lamp shown on the ground. "It must be midnight." I say. I look at the ground a little harder and say "That's a rock floor" questionably. I walk around blindly then tense as I hit a wall. "Oh no..." I shivered as a drop of water fell on me from the ceiling. "... I'm in a cave!" I exclaim. 

I suddenly start panicking with horrid thoughts in my head. I start yelling and running around in circles. Then I say calmly to myself "I have to calm down." I look at the flat topped rock and see something on it. "Now I remember!" I yell excitedly. I was sent down here with some sort of new technology. There is a headset and a scanner. I walk over to the headset and put it on. Then I pick up the scanner. I remember something about pressing the button on the scanner. "AAAHHHHH" I yell. A bunch of colored dots came out from the front of it. I walk closer to them, but they turn from yellow, to orange , then to red. I touch them, but I could only feel the cold, wall. I back up and see them turn to orange, to yellow, then green, then blue. I realized that they changed to different colors of the rainbow depending on how far away you are. I hold down on the button and see more come out. I then point the scanner all around and see all the stalagmites and stalactites. "Wow." I say.

I see a small narrow hole in the wall so, I go through it. I isn't very long of a passageway, it opened up into a larger opening. I'm kind of excited...but also scared. I finally finished scanning the large opening. "Eewww, it feels like I'm stepping in water." I say. "Oh, I am stepping in water." I mumble as I scan my feet. The water starts to clear up and I find myself on stairs leading down. Then say "The least thing I want to do is go down instead of go up." I look to the right and see a cage in the water, then stop and shudder. I don't go as fast, feeling scared. I walk further down the stair well, then come into an opening. There is two run down totem looking polls, along with a maze of bridges. "Great, now I have to go through this." I mumble sarcastically. I walk carefully along the bridges, carefully scanning the bridge beneath me. I step forward then, *CRUNCH*. "AAAHHHH!" I scream as the wooden board snaps below me. "Ow" I say as I land on a bridge below the other one. I quickly scramble to the other side, relieved as I feel solid ground. "Well that's one way you can shortcut through this dreadful maze." I murmur. I hear a scream as I walk into the next cave. I suddenly freeze. Then, I say to myself what if that's someone else! I suddenly break into a run.

dart through a cave and finally stop at something that looked like a giant underground temple. I walk up the stairs then, trip one something. I look down and see a body lying on the floor. Terrified, I look down the stairs, to run away. But I see a large pixelated mass, about 6 feet tall and 2 feet wide, I run up the stairs, then look back and it was gone. "It must have been my eyes playing tricks on me." I say concerningly. Then, a scraggly voice from behind me whispered "It wasn't your eyes..." Terrified I look back and see nothing. I look back down the stairs, with my heart pounding my chest. I see it again. I run into the temple then hide in a corner. The top of an alter slides open. I can barely see anything because I'm crying. It comes right up in my face. "Everything will be alright" it says. I cry " Please I want to live, I wa...

I wake up with my eyes all wet, my headset off. I'm bound to an alter someone or something horrible is standing next to me with something sharp. It's chanting something, then raises the sharp thing higher, then...
