I wake up the smell of lavender and my owner poking at my nose. "Wakey, wakey, Eren~," her soft voice coos at me. I slowly open my eyes to see two beautiful blue eyes and her blinding smile. She pats my head gently causing me to purr. I get up and stumble on my own four feet until I reach my destination and plop myself onto her chest then curl into a ball. "Hey," she groans holding me up. I meow in response. "Get. Up. You lazy, free loading neko. We've got things to do!" She brushes her nose against mine then plops me down. A puff of smoke forms around me as I transform into my human form.
"Hey~," I pout. "Who are you calling a free-loading, lazy neko?" She just smiles and rubs behind my ear in response. I purr from the contact. She removes her hand and gets up walking to the bathroom.
"Care to join me for a bath, nii-chan," she says cheerfully. 'Dammit to hell!'

We walk around town occasionally stopping at a store or food booth. I notice people's glancing turning into staring. I mean yeah, she's beautiful but, the staring is a little too much at a certain a point. I guess she senses that I'm starting to get uncomfortable because she comes to a sudden stop.
"What's wrong," I ask. She shakes her head and smiles at me.
"You dummy," she snickers flicking my nose. I cover my nose and begin blushing. Before I can interject she interrupts me. "I should the one asking you if you're okay. You're clearly uncomfortable, so...," she begins to trail off.
I flick her forehead. She covers her forehead, her face turning a deep shade of red as she frowns at me. "And you're a total dumbass for thinking I would be so selfish on your birthday," I tease and hug her.
She hesitant at first but she eventually warms up to me and hugs me back. "Thank you.... Nii-chan," she whispers. I just nuzzle her neck in response and giggle.
Everything was so great. She was going to get to go that college. The one she always talked about when we were only six years old. So, why? Tell me why did she have to die?
