Ciel sat at his desk, playing with his chess pieces. He sat annoyed as he watched his betrothed, Elizabeth, continuously decorate his study with things she found 'cute'. She sang as she hung streamers and stuffed animals, saying how adorable the room was going to be.
Ciel was gradually getting more annoyed with every streamer Elizabeth hung. She danced and sang continuously, Ciel's anger growing. He knocked over a pawn with his queen and tried to ignore her.
Elizabeth stopped for a moment and noticed Ciel's annoyed face. "Are you alright, Ciel?" She asked leaning on his desk, her blonde hair bouncing wild.
Ciel glanced up at her. "Yes, quite alright." He said and went back to his chess board. Elizabeth raised her eyebrow, shrugged, smiled, and went back to decorating.
Ciel's fists clenched as Elizabeth got incredibly reckless. She got closer to his desk. She backed into it and spilled ink all over his board.
He stood up and slammed his hands on the desk. "Elizabeth! Must you be so bloody reckless?!" He yelled. Elizabeth stumbled backwards.
"But...but..I just wanted to make..." She said, tears welling up in her eyes. She backed up more as Ciel got up from behind his desk.
"It adorable! Right?! That's all you ever want to do! Did it ever occur to you that I don't enjoy your bloody stupid decorations?!" Elizabeth's startled and upset face quickly changed.
"Smile! I just wanted to make you smile, Ciel! You always wear that...that face!" She yelled at him, no longer backing away. Ciel's fists clenched harder.
"I wear a face of hatred! Which you would know nothing about! You're always so bloody happy!" Yelled Ciel, getting more angry with every word he spoke.
Elizabeth's once happy face was now cherry red with anger. "I'm happy because I find things to be happy about!" Ciel turned away from Elizabeth, walking to his window.
"I do not." He said bluntly. Elizabeth's eyes welled up with tears once more. Ciel didn't notice.
"Nothing..? She choked. Ciel turned his head back to hers.
"What is there to be happy about?" He said and turned back. Elizabeth's tears rolled down her face.
"You're so thick!" She screamed at him, marching towards him. She yanked his arm and pulled him to face her.
"What in hell do you think you're..." He started to say before Elizabeth slapped him.
"How can you be so stupid?! So many people around you practically worship you and you can't even muster a small smile?! You have servants that praise you for breathing, a butler who serves you hand and foot, a fiancee that loves you, and you say you have nothing to smile about?!"
Ciel's face remained emotionless, still shocked from the sudden blow. Elizabeth cried. "Fine! Be that way then! It doesn't matter anyway!"
Elizabeth walked away to the door. Ciel spoke. "Don't go." She turned around. Ciel had tears rolling down his face.
Elizabeth's face was tear stained. "What is it?" Ciel walked over to her, and put her hand in his own.
"Don't go." He said again. Tears rolled down both his and her faces. Ciel fell to his knees.
"I...can't lose you." Elizabeth fell as well. Ciel grabbed her and pulled her close to him. He held her and wouldn't let go.
"Ciel. All I've ever wanted is to see you smile." Elizabeth sobbed into his shirt. Ciel pulled her up and stood, bringing her with him.
Ciel smiled. For once he smiled. And he pulled Elizabeth to him, lightly pressing his lips on hers. "Cie..." She started to say, but quickly found herself kissing him as well.
Ciel stopped and smiled. Elizabeth smiled too, letting a small giggle slip. Ciel took her hand once more and said "I lied. One thing makes me happy."
He kissed her again. "And I swear on my families graves, I am not losing it." Elizabeth blushed.
"I'm glad I finally make you happy." Ciel smiled.
"You always have."
