(A.N. This is my first story so judge it all you want! It's really cringey In my opinion but read it for yourself and make your own opinion! Really short chapter, most chapters will be about 1000-2000 words!!)

In the town of Hadleigh, there are twelve zodiac leaders Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Because of the mayhem and the conflict of the people Aquila the chairman of the zodiac signs, separated the towns people into their own section with their sign. It's been ten years since Aquila split the town, ever since then everyone was happy and there was no conflict with the signs.

Aquila had made rules that each section would pick the kids who rightfully turned sixteen would be selected for a partner, but it had to be the same sign. Some of the other laws were to act like your sign, to be your sign. it was forbidden to fall in love with someone from another sector and if you did, well you don't want to know what happens when you break the rules. everything was normal on the tenth anniversary of the hadleigh split, until today when a group of kids changed everything and saved their town from disaster.

Daniels pov

As I exited my house I could feel the warmth of the full sun in the sky beaming down on my face, and the cool breeze fluttering through my ash blonde tousled faux hawk hair. I glanced down at my left wrist which had the silver watch that my father gave me when i was ten, the time read as eight o'clock the selecting started in twenty minutes. I sighed and ran my fingers through my soft hair tugging at the small knots in my hair. I wore a coal black slacks, jacket, and tie with my white button up shirt. My shoes were black and had a slight shine to them. I veered toward the direction of city hall where they were hosting the selecting, as I strolled down the sidewalk I heard my neighbor greeting, " hello, how are you Daniel?"

I slid to a stop and turned to talk to the short grayed hair man, I waved before confirming, "I'm great, how are you Mr. Anderson?" I smiled politely at him, he was sitting on his rocking chair on his porch, there were red and pink roses planted all over his deck. He had a small home that was a porcelain color and his door a sky color. It was the only house on the block that had flowers or was painted a different color from grey, black and white. He answered, "oh I'm doing just fine," in a smoky voice he continued, "Are you excited for the selecting?" In an enthusiastic voice I said, "yes, I can't wait!"

He chuckled, "good. well I'll see you there Daniel, have a nice day."

"You to Mr. Anderson, have a good day," I replied bubbly. As I continued on my stroll, there was no one in the neighborhood, I guess there all at city hall, I thought. I looked around at the beautiful town and heard birds singing there evening song. The air smelled of sweet honey and vanilla, when I got to the glass doors connected to the city hall I opened the right door and walked in.
