Blind sided

I wasn't always blind. I remember seeing. That was almost 14 years ago.

I woke up to my alarm beeping. I put my hand on the my dresser. It was cold. My fingers finally found the alarm and pressed the button to make the annoying sound stop. "Clark are you up?" My mother called from downstairs. "Yeah." I made my way to my door and grabbed the outfit that my sister I think picked out for me. I made my way to the bathroom and found my tooth brush, and brushed my teeth. I stumbled down the stairs and bump into something. "What" I mumbled under my breath. "Oh yeah sorry honey I moved the table." 

I grabbed a piece of toast. I was about to take a bite when Elizabeth, my sister grabbed it out of my hands. "C'Mon dude!" I yell. "This is your payment for me driving you." I then hear her bite the piece. "You really want me to drive?" "Clark, I'll make you another one" I heard my mother say. "Thank you" I said then turning around and going up the stairs. I kept my hand on the wall trying to find my room. 

I walked in and grabbed my cane and glasses. I haven't done anything big with my room so I pretty much know where every thing is. "Clark hurry up" Liz called from down stairs. "Yeah yeah" I found my bag and trotted down the stairs. 

I walked to her car and put my cane in her trunck, then opened the door. "I'm going to pick up my friend, she's a JR just like you." "Ok that's cool" I heard the car start and then back up. We didn't get far when we stopped. "Are we at your friends house?" I asked. "Her name is Lily" then the car door opened. "No Lil my brother can move." "Yeah yeah I get it." I got my glasses out of my shirt pocket and put them on. I got up and open the door. Then put my finger tips on the car trying to find the handle. "Are you blind?" I heard her tone of voice. "Um a yeah" there was a long silence. "S-sorry" "your fine, don't worry how would you know?" I then found the handle and got in. 

"Hey lily?" I called out. "Yeah." "Can you take me to my classes? I got a complete schedule change." I felt my face get hot. "Yeah can I see your schedule?" I pulled out a paper from my bag. "Its in um brail" my face got hot again. "There's a printed copy in my bag Lil" I heard Elizabeth say. Then there was a zipper and the sound of paper. "We have a lot of the same classes. This will be easy." "Ok thank you" 

We walked in. The office let us go in 10 minutes early so she can show me where our classes are. "These another sign" she grabbed my hand up to the sign. "East Wing" I said allowed. "Yep" we went to my first hour. "Mr Smith?" I heard Lily say. "I have your new student." 

"Hmmm" he didn't sound pleasant. Then I felt my glasses ripped off my face. "What? Where are my glasses?" "Your eyes aren't focussed" I hear him say. "Umm my mother sent a email, I'm blind." 

"I thought you were lying" he said. "Can I have my glasses?" He huffed then put them in my hand. The rest of the day went pretty smooth.

I was in my sister car and I put my headphones in, I kept one out just in case Liz wanted to talk. The car started then backed up. "Whatcha listening to?" Liz  lightly punched me, "umm Panic at The Disco." I heard he start to laugh. "Isn't that what like 13 year old girls listen to?" I felt my face go red. "Lily showed them to me." I said in protest. "Oh yeah I think she's going to go see them next month or something. "Really?!? Do you think she'll take me?" "I'll ask" 

We drove home. "We are here." I got out a shut the door. I clicked my cane trying to make my way to the door. "Elizabeth? Can you help me?" Then a hand came and grabbed my hand. "Liz?" I asked into nothing. "Nope, Lily" I must have looked confused. "I walked"  "were is Liz" I was beyond confused. "I'm right her" she said in a sassy tone. "Oh" 

"Mom were home" I called opening the door.  "I'm in the kitchen" I put my cane in the living room, leaning up against the wall. I walked in the kitchen and  folded my glasses and putting them in my chair pocket. "Hello"  "hi mom" I found my way to a chair.  "Can I go to Aaron's house?" I ask my mother. "Don't stay out to late, be back by dinner." "Ok cool" 

"Aaron? My mom said yes. Can you pick me up?" 

"Sorry man, man my cars in the shop." 

"It's cool, ill ask my sister." 

"Ok ill see you in a little bit." 

"Ok" 

"Bye"  

After I hung up a walked over to my sisters room. "Liz can you drive me to Aaron's house?" I asked into again, nothing. I herd her sigh. "Fi-" she was interrupted by Lily. "I'll take you man, Aaron is Aaron smith from school right?" "No he's actually our half brother. Same dad" "oh" i heard another sigh. "Lets just all go, then Lil can see were dads house is." "I'll get ready."  

Aaron is only 6 months older than me. My father cheated on my mom one year after Liz was born. So Aaron is 18, Liz is 18 almost 19, and me who is still 17. My dad is doctor and is filthy ritch. I only normally visit him and my dad on holidays or birthdays, but me and Aaron want to be closer. 

"Here we are. They moved houses so be careful." "Ok thank you both."  I stepped out then turned. "Could you help me find the door?"
