Prologue - An Introduction About Me

Hum... okay. Where should I start my introduction from?

Since I was born?

Nah... it's too long to be told. It might bore you out.

Well, for a short introduction, I was born on one day of mid-August of year 1982 in Jakarta, Indonesia. My mother is a Javanese woman and my father was coming a Indonesian-Chinese ethnic family. I'm the oldest of three children. My siblings are a girl, two years younger than me, and a boy, six years younger than me. Furthermore, my dad had passed away when I was 14. And ever since, my family's life met many financial difficulties. So I can't say that we were rich.

Or you might want to know the beginning of my turning point?

It's kinda long too actually.

But well, let's just say that it was a pure luck when I met Mr. Kim Yong Joon for the first time back in 2003.

If you don't know who he was, let me tell you if he is a Korean famous actor who also an entertainment company's owner.

And it was also a pure luck when he noticed my talent as I sang on the street.

Seriously, as a scholarship student in Japan, my life wasn't easy either. I had to earn some money for living through my part-time job on the 24-hours convenience store and singing on the street at night.

Well... yeah, I was a street musician, everybody.

So, when he suddenly approached me and offered me to join his company, I was shocked.

Eventually, I had to refuse the offer since I was bound to my scholarship contract. But he told me that he would wait for me.

And starting from that moment, my life was drastically changed.

Even though I had to go back to Indonesia as one of my scholarship's conditions and was continuing my study on my previous university in Jakarta, I settled my position as one of the employees of KY Entertainment, the entertainment agency that he owns,...

Or perhaps, I should have said that I have settled my position as their talents.

I came and joined the company on mid 2006 as their staff at first. But he suddenly told me to create a business plan for a girl idol group as my first and only assignment ever. Of course, I would be included on the group.

Actually, I was feeling a little bit weird with the task.

Why?

Well, KY Entertainment is famous as a place for actors and actresses. There are many famous actors and actresses signed contract with them. Perhaps, if I mentioned them, you will know who they are.

Yet, he asked me to create a girl idol group... for music.

The question "why" was the first word that slipped from my lips after I heard his request.

But he just smiled gently as he leaned back on his chair and calmly told me, "Do you think it's challenging to create a music group among all those actors and actresses?"

It was indeed challenging. It didn't answer my question at that moment.

But afterward, I began to realize that he was creating a chance for me to develop my talents in Music. Well, I am a certified vocal trainer after all. And, probably, he was also giving me a chance to make my dream come true as a singer. So I started my quest to create a girl idol group on that day.
