You: (moan and open your eyes)

Chris: are you okay? Is your leg still messed up ?

You: (smile) I think so Chris. (Looks down at your leg propped up)

Chris: can I have a cookie? (Points to the side of the bed)

You: (stare at the wine bottle next to the cookies) have you eaten breakfast?

Chris: no you and dad are still asleep.

You: well give me a minute and I'll cook breakfast.

Chris: your leg.

You: I can get around. Just need to find the crutches.

Chris: (crawls out your bed ) okay. (Looks around)

-1 hour 16 minutes later-

Madison: im so nervous. Let's start over.

You: okay. Hi Madison how are you?

Madison : I'm fine. How are you ?

You: don't say fine..

Chres: (Walks in)

Madison: oh right. (looking at the kitchen entrance) morning daddy. (Looks at you) I'm going to write it down then study...I'll bed back. (Leaves)

Chris: Morning daddy. Going to watch tv. (gets his plate and walk out)

You: (look at Chres smiling ) morning daddy.

Chres: (Laughs and Walks to you) morning mama. (Leans into kiss you)

You: (dodge it)

Chres: wait you're the one who just said Morning daddy.

You: it was a joke. (Looking at) and last night was...

Chres: (Leans on the counter and folds his arms) don't say mistake.

You: wrong Chres. It was wrong. (Gets your crutches and hop to him) how can I face Trey after that.

Chres: (sighs rolling his eyes a bit)

You: (touch his chest gently) bear with me Chres. I love Trey...(looking into his eyes) I don't want to go back to who I was 6 years ago. And I can't be that person who made me that way

Chres: (looking at you ) why do you have to be so confusiiing?😫

You: (smile a little) I'm not.

Chris: Mom..dad.

You: (turn around)

Chres: (looks at Chris)

Chris: (looking at y'all)

You: done? (Hop over to him)

Chris: no. Where's the remote to the tv room?

Chres: inside the cabinet under the tv

Chris: okay..(Walks out looking back)

You: wait up Chris. I'll join. (Hops out)

2 hours later

Madison: how do I look? (Spins around)

You: very professional. (Smiling)

Chres: wow my daughter's first job interview. Seems like just yesterday you was begging me to play tea party.

You: (smile and laugh a little)

Madison: stop it. You're going to make me cry. And I don't want to redo this make up. (Picks up her phone) I'm going to send Mom a picture. Come Chris. (Walks outside)

Chris: are you actually going to use a picture this time.

They leave

You: (look in your purse for your keys)

Chres: you sure you can drive like that.

You: I don't use my left foot anyways. (Stands up)

Chres: When you get back there may be some people here. You know setting up for the party. It's in 2 Days.

You: (looking at him) Jennifer?

BRYAN's Breakfast Lunch & Dinner
Madison: (Holds the door for you)

You walk in

You: thank you ma'am.

Tahj: (looks up from the register)

Madison: (smiles and walk over) Hi. You do register too?

Tahj: only when staff is short? (Looks at you) hi y/n.  I'm sorry about your leg.

You: (laugh) it's better than yesterday. Tahj right?

Madison: so are you interviewing me too. You seem to be doing everything.

Chris: (shoots the ball)

Chris: (shoots the ball) you're always messing with her. When Logan messes with Tia Ms.Davis says it's because he likes her.
