Feelings Within

My heart races at the thought.

As it touches my skin, a smile forms.

The adrenalin pumps in my veins.

My skin reacts the way it should.

The tingling and slight sheen of sweat makes me nervous.

I know it’ll cradle me and make me forget the nervousness though.

I hold it with a firm grip.

It glints in the bright light.

I place it lightly on my skin.

Careful not to break it just yet.

As I lean it in deeper and begin to go across in a straight line, I feel the guilt of what has been done.

But my blood runs bright and I feel happier.
