I better be seeing my husband by the end of the day, I just want to know that he's okay and that note was just a bullshit note to throw Trey off... I don't even know what I'd do if Lexis was dead. That's just not a thought that crosses my mind and how do I even try to prepare for the worst? I'm not helping myself by thinking like this, just adding to the nerves and anxiety I currently have building up.

~Breezy P.O.V.~

I stayed the night at the hospital with Vonnie so she wasn't by herself. When I got there she was already asleep but she looked like she was fine laying there in bed. She could technically come home today if she wanted to, just has to take it easy and what not so that's some much needed good news among the recent bad news.

I couldn't sleep at all, just sat in the chair going over the events that led to earlier this morning in my head. I think this was the fastest we handled a situation like that, usually those drag out for far longer and there's more of us getting hurt but I mean the twins walked out of there with nothing but soaked clothes and I had a couple scratches that weren't too bad. Either we're gettin' better with this or luck was with us 'cause damn. I still can't believe we took out an entire section of IRG, plus the mini section of NBG as well- oh that's right the trap is trash now. Poor NBG, she can't have a trap that lasts long at all and I can't wait to tell Nitty about this when I get a hold of him. Which reminds me, is Nando with him? Or was he with the ones who turned on IRG? I don't remember seeing him but maybe he was there and was shot up before I could notice him.

"Christopher?" A nurse said as she walked into the room, this was the one who got me an apple juice box when I first got here and a few towels, I liked this one. She was still in training so she was young as fuck but one of the nicest nurses I've ever come across so I'm glad her shift consists of being Vonnie's nurse.

"Yeah, that's me. Is everything alright?"

"Everything's just fine." She said with a smile. "I just wanted to go over with you what you'll be needing to help Yvonne with for the first week or so. She has new stitches so you'll want to be careful, she shouldn't be doing anything that requires force so lifting heavy objects and what not. She's going to be very sore but an over the counter pain killer will be just fine. If it's too painful, have her come back and we'll talk with her doctor. Keeping the stitches clean is extremely important so I'll give you this paper which thoroughly explains how to." She said handing me this paper and I just stared at it. "You look a little lost?"

"Oh I'm not lost. Believe me I've been in here plenty of times for all kind of procedures and shit, even for her so I know the whole run down of this. Did her stab wounds damage any organs or anything important?"

"Let me look at the notes, one moment." She said walking up to the computer. Typing fast as hell and scanning her card through some machine, I folded the paper and stuck it in the back pocket of my jeans since they were for the most part dry. "Nothing in her abdomen but the farther down, there was some damage in her pelvic region so she'll especially be feeling pain. I'm actually going to ask if there's something stronger her doctor can prescribe. I'll be right back." I gave a nod and scooted my chair up to Vonnie, I wanted to see how far this damn wound was 'cause shit.

"Vonnie." I said kind of softly as I nudged her arm. "Vonnie, baby wake up." I continued to say as she was starting to wake up. Opening her eyes, she pulled the corners of her mouth into a smile. "Aye sleepy head, how are you feeling?"

"I feel numb. How long have I been here?" Her voice was just as soft but sleepy and one of her eyes was kind of squinted from the bright lights of the room.

"Just the night but you get to come home today and then I'm back to taking care of you." I said with a small laugh to get her to smile more. "I should be a nurse at this point, always having to be yours."
