Ink's POV
I groaned and rubbed my sore head. Someone had knocked into me. I opened my eyes to see Error, flat on his back. What was going on? Was he okay? I crawled over to him, looking at him. His eyes were wide open, but he didn't say anything.
"Are... are you alright, Error?" I asked slowly.
Suddenly, he jerked his head up and knocked heads with me again.
It was my turn to lie on my back, still groaning. I heard a small sigh, then a gasp.
"Ink!"
I opened my eyes to see Error sitting in front of me, reaching towards me as if he were about to shake me (awake?). But he quickly turned around towards the sound of the voice that had called me. Blue and Dream were running down the hallway towards the door like rockets with worried looks on their faces. Blue practically leaped over Error, picked me up so I stood, then hugged me tightly. Dream followed, laughing hysterically. I hugged back, then let go and gave each of them a swift punch on the arm. "That's for leaving me without telling you were, and then letting me get lost in this giant ass campus! Where the Hell were you two?"
"I thought we told you," Dream said, rubbing his arm sorely. "We were at the Student Council meeting!"
"Wait, aren't they normally in the morning?" I said with confusion.
"They are, but Mrs. Alphys had us stay for a meeting today to make sure Miss Muffet had her pastries ready for the Spring Fling," Blue said. "Which is next month, by the way. Kinda dumb. And we don't have a meeting that morning due to the bake sale held by the same people!" Blue sounded very outraged, but his squeaky voice made it a little less intimidating than he probably wanted it to be.
"Well, besides the fact that I was lost on the opposite end of the campus for over two hours searching for you two, my day went pretty well," I said, giving each of them a small elbow to the shoulder.
"What? We were scared out of our minds because we were searching for you!" Dream said, pouting.
I laughed, suddenly remembered what I wanted to show them in the first place I pulled out three small cloths. They each had a small star emblem sewed into it.
"Oooooo! What's that?" Blue said, excited. I smiled and gave one to each of them. "This is for you two. I made it during art class, since we were making cloth logos for a big project. You could pick anyone you want to be in your group, regardless of them being in that class or not. I thought we could do it together!"
"That's soooo cool!" Blue said, hugging the small cloth. "Thanks Ink!"
I smiled, but sighed sadly. "But it's going to take a few weeks. I'd say about three." I looked at them. "We may need a bigger group to get more done, but I don't know who to ask."
Blue and Dream stopped for a second, looked at each other and smiled.
"We know who!"
"What? Who?"
"You'll see!"
Error's POV
I slowly got up and looked at the three of them standing in front of me. Going on and on about some cloth- what it would be like to have friends like that.
Then the thought hit me. What would we do without our friends?
I got mentally lost without Fell, and Ink got physically lost without Dream and Blue.
I found myself smiling slightly at the sight. I watched as Fell walked up from behind me with a smile.
"Still got your eyes on him, lover boy?" He laughed as I elbowed him in the ribs jokingly. "What the hell, dude? You shouldn't even be talking. We all know that you've been eyeing Blueberry since the day we hit ninth grade."
That comment got a good punch from Fell. "Oh pa-lese. I saw you blushing when you two first met! Boy, you can't hide anything from your best friend! It's funny to see that he hasn't seen it yet!" He laughed. I gasped.
"Why you little-"
Next think he knows, he's in a headlock receiving a noogie. He's laughing his ass off, and I almost started to laugh with him.
Then I heard a voice coming from the group of giggles a few feet away.
"Hey Error! Can you come here for a second?"
"You too, Fell! We wanna ask you something!"
Fell just kinda looked at me and shrugged. He started to walk over to them.
"Well Error? What are you waiting for? Come on!"
Ink's POV
I kept trying to get them to tell me their idea, but they wouldn't tell! After giving up after a while, I looked over at where Error was before I had been tackle hugged by my friends. Fell was now with him, and Error was putting him in a playful headlock. They were both laughing. I had never seen Error this happy before. That made me feel good. I guess Fell was his best friend.
"Hey Error! Can you come here for a second?"
"You too, Fell! We wanna ask you something!"
I whirled around to see my friends, smiling like they had heard the funniest thing they'd ever heard. I don't know what they were plotting, but it didn't sound good.
As Error walked up to me, I realized suddenly how much had towered over me. I had never really noticed how tall he was.
I nervously stood there, but I realized that his normal dark and gloomy aura was gone. And he was... smiling? That was so not like him.
"What do you need?" Fell asked, looking at the two other Student Council-mates he knew. Blue and Dream smiled at each other excitedly. I just kinda stared at them, confused. Even I didn't know what ideas they had.
"We want you two," Blue started, looking at Dream.
"To join us,"
"And help us,"
"In an art project!"
My breath hitched at art project. They want Error and Fell to be a part of the group that I put together? Without telling me??
"W-wait a minute! I wasn't told about this-"
"Sure! Why not?"
Fell?
I just saw Error snickering as Fell quickly shut his mouth and turned a bright cherry red. He looked at Berry and laughed weakly. Blue just smiled excitedly.
"Awesome! What about you, Error?"
A beat passes.
Fell looks at his friend, who seems to be deep in thought.
I almost read his mind.
Art Project?
I remembered that day in History, then had second thoughts about what his answer might be.
"I-"
"He'd love to," Fell interrupted. He then shot him a pleading look that said "please?"
Error stopped, looked at Fell, then at me. Our eyes met, but I looked away quickly. I heard giggles from behind me.
So that's what they were planning!
Argh, when I get my hands on them-
"Sure."
I looked up with complete surprise. He met my eyes again, then looked at Fell. "It'll be fun."
"Yyyyyyessssss!"
Fell jumped up, then looked at Blueberry. He couldn't have look happier. Blueberry squealed excitedly, then hugged Fell.
"Yay! New friends!"
I swear Fell looked like he was about to faint.
