Pineapples and Mustaches

Why were mustaches such a big thing for a while? I mean there were mustache shirts, mugs, bracelets, everything. Anyone remember that? Now it seems to be pineapples.

Why not elephants?

Also, silly bands. Why are they not in style anymore? I mean it used to be that everyone had a wrist full of them, and now I wear mine and its like " what are those?"
Well, life is complicated I suppose...
