Kim Haneul checked the time on her watch. " 6.52 am," she read out silently. Grumbling, she rolled out bed, tried to fix her hair, and knocked on the door of number 3 ; her neighbour's front door. The piano music stopped for a second, and she could make out some mumbling, a conversation maybe?
Haneul had always admired her neighbour. She would always be in the mood for music, and some how, her neighbour seemed to fulfil her needs by playing beautiful piano music. But it got very annoying when Haneul would wake up at one in the morning and hear music playing. This was one of the times, as Haneul had a test she had to ace for uni she had stayed up for late at night.
The door swung open, a man holding its knob as he scratched the back of his head slowly, blinking sleepily before yawning. "Hi.." He muttered.
"Uh, hi, but could you like please tone the piano music down a little please? People are trying to sleep."
The blond-haired boy softly chuckled. "Yeah, I'll tell hyung to quieten down, sorry about that.." he smiled.
"Oh, ok thanks...?" Haneul trailed off.
"Jimin. Park Jimin," He shrugged, "but you can call me oppa." His charm didn't really work, as he was half-asleep and in a dog-onesie.
"Okay Jimin! Thanks, but I do think that I'm older than you, it's ok." Haneul said before slowly trudging back to her abode.

Haneul, peeked out her window, slightly pulling the curtains to the left. She was momentarily stunned by the sunlight seeping through the gap. "The music stopped," Haneul wondered. She looked directly out of her window again, this time at the window of her neighbour. She could see a nest of vivid blue hair hunched over a messy desk. Haneul shuddered before lying back down.
"Why am I so stalker-ish?" Haneul, thought to herself.
A knock on the door alerted her to her senses.
"Who would be here at this ti- oh." Haneul was about to finish her thought when she looked at the clock ; 12pm. Luckily she didn't habe school today, or else she would be dead.
She jumped out of her bed and rushed to the door, kind of wanting to kill the person on the other side.
"Hi- oh, Sohyun, what is it?" Haneul said, frustrated that her sleep had been disturbed.
" Ugh, Haneul, you forgot again, didn't you? " Sohyun barged in, pulling on the hem of Haneul's clothes. " I'm supposed to meet up with Minho! "
Haneul then remembered her promise to look onto Sohyun's date just in case anything happened.
She blushed a bright red due to her embarrassment and started getting ready.
•••
"There he is," Sohyun pointed out a boy reading a book on a bench, his spectacles round and ( in Haneul's opinion ) way too big for him.
Haneul pushed Sohyun out from behind the big, leafy oak tree they were standing behind. "Go talk to him," she hissed, "he's probably fed up waiting for your slow butt."
That was the type of person Haneul was. She tended to give people support by insulting them.
She watched Sohyun approach her date from behind a tree. Watching them converse, she slowly became bored, and therefore decided to let her eyes skim across the park.
There were several miniscule children playing on the playground, a few families hosting a picnic, and a blue head resting on a bench.
Haneul stopped at the last person. Who dyes their hair blue? Haneul thought. But she felt like she knew them, like it was at the back of her mind ; the tip of her tongue. She decided to ignore them and her faze fell onto Sohyun and her date.
•••
"He's very nice, " Sohyun gushed. She kept talking about all the good qualities of her date as Haneul wondered who the mysterious person could've been. She kept staring at them as she and Sohyun walked out of the park.
Sohyun fell silent, stopping in her tracks. Haneul turned to look at her.
"What is it?" She asked, curiosity piqued.
A smirk spread across Sohyun's face as she looked at Haneul. "Why were you looking at him?"
"He just felt familiar, that's all." Haneul shrugged before starting to shuffle away.
"Wait, isn't he your neighbour? " Sohyun shrieked from behind before rushing to Haneul, who had stopped again.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure." Haneul guessed.
"Go talk to them then!" Sohyun pushed her.
I don't even know him! Haneul thought before just going along with the plan.
"Hi." Haneul slid into the seat next to them. So it's a boy, Haneul thought.
"Hi." He replied, voice monotone.
"My friend sent me here, and I'm really sorry I also kind of wanted to meet you since you're my neighbour and I've never met you and I thought it would be a good idea to talk and my friend Sohyun told me to get your number because you're my neighbour so yeah, can I get your number?" Haneul blurted out in one go.
"Sure, hand me your phone I guess." He motioned for her phone and Haneul handed it.
"Thanks!" She said when he pressed in her number, it was the last thing she said before running away.
•••
"Call him!" Sohyun exclaimed, pushing Haneul's phone to her.
It had been an hour of Sohyun begging, whining, moaning and even threatening Haneul as she tried to persuade her to call Yoongi. [ a|n did you think dirty? ]
"Fine then, I will." Haneul gave up, putting in her passcode and entering the call screen.
The dialtone echoed across the room as Sohyun and Haneul impatiently stared at it.
"Hello?"
"Hi Yoongi!" Haneul replied.
"This is Seokjin, I think my friend probably gave you the wrong number for laughs." Haneul and Sohyun could hear his muffled tuts from the other side.
Haneul could hear him say something inaudible, along the lines of "he thinks I like you."
"Yeah, well thanks Seokjin-ssi!"
"No problem, it was nice talking to you."
And then he cut the phone.
"Well, that was quite rude of Yoongi," Sohyun broke the awkward silence that had been in the air after the call.
