I, Elliot Ridan, regret nothing... sure, I was a dumb little space worker that didn't know when to shut his mouth, what I didn't realize was that I was about to have the most insane departure of my life. I was the ignition inspector on the stardancer, key word, was. I was inspecting the fourth ignitor and I found an important part of it missing, the thing is, I was the only one the guards would let past, so I was going to get blamed. I did what my job was to do, I reported the problem to my supervisor. He just looked at me and shook his head, knowing that I was probably going to get spaced.

I made my way down to the bridge to report the problem to the captain. This was it, I was going to die, and I wasn't even going to make it to twenty years old. Oh yeah, I'm eighteen and I'm working on a class three cargo ship. As I walked up to the captain, the janitor gave me a look as if to say "hey man, you tried." The captain almost immediately blamed me for the missing piece. I told him that I didn't even touch it, and that he should "just go ahead and space me," it was the worst thing I ever said, because as soon as I said that, he dragged me to the spacing capsules.
