My parents died when I was eleven. The last words I had said to them being; i hate you. Those three words, being the cause of their death. I've lived in guilt ever since, wishing I could rewind my life and take it all back.
Since then, I've been bounced around from foster-home-to-foster-home. A new home at least twice a year.
Nobody has ever thought of me as a keeper, therefore I've been passed along to an orphanage. That's when I shut down; depression taking over me and realizing that the world is a terrible terrible place.
Until one day, I met a boy named Ethan Lawson. A sweet gentleman who volunteered at the orphanage. He opened up my eyes and taught me things I didn't know could exist. He taught me how to love myself and the world around me.
Heck, not just that but him included.
I loved him.
