Mary slammed the brochure down on Liz's kitchen worktop. They were going to Southport! Mary was really into classic movies on classic formats like VHS or Betamax. They decided they were going to pack that day and leave the next.
The next day, at 6am. Liz drove her car to Mary's to pick her up. Mary had brought some CDs with her, all of which were Runrig. On the way from Aberdeen, their hometown, they stopped in Dumfries. Mary and Liz got out of the car, paid for the ticket and walked into the Main Street. They both walked into an antique shop. Liz bought an old Minolta camera and Mary, despite what Liz said about buying large objects, bought an old Thorn VCR. Looked perfectly normal, plugged in, rewound, played etc...
After they got something to eat, the two girls walked back to their car, slung the bags in the boot and drove towards Southport.
