You checked on some of the animals and saw that their cages were secure, as usual, so you moved on to the next section. Once most of the park was checked, you went to check on the reptilian exhibit. Upon walking into the room, you noticed that all of the cages were open and every one of the snakes were missing. This had never happened before, so a panic spread through you as you stammered to grab your radio from the holster on your belt, calling on the boss who you desperately hoped was still on the premises.

     No answer.

You quickly looked around the room and after noticing that they were no longer there with you, you ran out towards the security office. When you arrived, there was a snake lying right underneath the desk. It hissed and struck at you, but you quickly jumped back to avoid it's fangs. You grabbed the gun from the drawer of a desk and shot it directly in its head, since it was the first thing you though to grab. The blood splattered up onto your face and you quickly bolted out of the room towards the other side of the zoo. After a few minutes straight of running, you stopped to try and catch your breath, still holding the loaded gun in your hand.

Suddenly, you felt a chill run down your spine as you could feel eyes glaring at you from somewhere you could see, and then you heard leaves and twigs crackling as if they were being walked on. You looked around and saw nobody; not even an animal.

"H-hello...?" You called out in hope that it was just someone passing by. As a gust of wind blew past you, you could hear a faint chuckle. With all your hope, you convinced yourself that it was only the wind.

"(Y/N)~" A voice called out and again, you convinced yourself that you were just being paranoid. You felt a cold hand rest upon your shoulder and you swung yourself around, holding the gun out in front of your chest with quick and heavy breaths. The man who stood before you had pitch black hair with a sturdy face and a dark grey suit and tie. The complexion of his skin seemed to be light grey underneath the lights on the side of each animal exhibit and he had a bit of scruff that went from ear to ear and a small mustache. He was much taller than you and his figure towered down on you, intimidation filled your mind as the gun shook in your hand; you tried to keep a steady hand as much as you could.

"W-who the hell a-are you?!" You managed to spit out through fear as the man's eyes began to glow red, slowly getting more vibrant and back to a softer color; almost as if it was a sort of pulse.

"Don't you remember me (y/n)?" The man smiled at her, but his smile was anything but genuine. It looked cold and empty, as it faded a bit when he looked down to the gun shaking in your hands.

"What's that for? You weren't going to shoot your old friend Dark..." he asked, tilting his head and his brow furrowed a bit at his words "Were you?" His hand found it's way to your wrist and you jerked your hand back, making the gun go off and it shot straight into his shoulder as you stumbled back from the impact of the bullet. He was jerked back a bit as a few strands of hair fell in front of his face until he stiffened his stance and looked from the wound and back up to you. His eyes were fire truck red and getting brighter as his lips formed a frown which quickly changed to a snarl. Your first instinct was to run, and that was exactly what you did.

Your body already ached from running away from the snakes, but this person apparently named Dark, was far more scary than a small snake.

In mid-step while locked in a sprint, you crashed into something and tumbled to the ground. The gun flew onto the ground when you fell. You looked up to see Dark again and he picked the gun up, putting it in an inside pocket of his suit. When you looked up, you saw the same man towering above you. A dark mist surrounded his body as you laid below him, terror rendering you immobile.

"Don't worry, it won't hurt." He smirked sarcastically and he lifted his leg, only to immediately stomp it down onto your head as everything went black and consciousness slipped away from your body.
