5 YEARS LATER

Dylan's point of view

Today was the day she left. I think about her everyday, but not in a sad way a relief. I now am 19 and still live in NYC except without my parents. I grab my coffee and pour a cup. I rub my chin and feel stubble and sigh. "Good morning." My girlfriend Cassie says walking in. "Hey Cas." I kiss her quickly. "Listen, I have work but then I'll be back in time for your mom's party, ok?" She says quickly. "K babe." I say. She winks at me and leaves. I am a 5th grade teacher and its awful. I get ready and go to work. Today was a long day of too many health class questions!

Ann Marie's point of view

I'm going home. NYC, my home! I land and I see all its glory. I visit all my favorite spots. But I am here for my fashion design career. Also to pick up my niece, Meg from school and spend time with her. It is 3:30 and school is just letting out. I go to Mr. Port's room to pick her up. I walk in when class is still in session. Everybody stares at me.

She walked in! Mar! I thought it was fake. She looked stunning. I gasp and smile at her. I knew she would come back. "Ann Marie!" I hug her quickly.

Ann Marie's point of view

The teacher knew my name and was hugging me. I push him back and ask him what he is doing. He says his name is Dylan and we were best friends, but I don't remember.
