Chapter 8

9 months later

“Baby.” Brad said pointing down at his baby sister Avalon

“Yeah it’s your baby sister.” Tyler told him

“Avalon.” Brad said

“Yeah.” I said with her in my arms

“Okay Brad let’s let mommy and daddy have some time with baby sister, Avalon.” Cassidy said

“No I wanna stay here! No mommy! No daddy!” Brad said and then started crying

Cassidy struggled getting Brad off of my hospital bed.

“C’mon Brad we can go see grandma and grandpa.” She said attempting to pick him up

“No mommy.” He said

“Brad you need to go with Aunt Cassidy or Uncle Brad won’t come over tomorrow.” Tyler said picking him up “I’ll carry him down for you.” He told Cassidy

“Thank you sorry Riley.”” She said

After the three of them walked out of the room I looked down at my daughter. I was happy I wasn’t the only girl in the house. She then opened her eyes and I began talking to her.

“Hey baby girl I’m your momma. I take care of you and your older brother. Your daddy was the guy who took your brother out of the room. He plays hockey and I’m sorry but you are going to have to play too. He’s a really great guy he loves you so much. To him you are the most beautiful girl in the world. Just think for the rest of my life I get to know you. Always know that no matter what we love you.” I said kissing her forehead

“You know you are going to have a great mom too.” Tyler said

“Jesus Tyler how long have you been standing there?” I asked

“Long enough you still love me.” He replied walking over towards us

“You know she looks a lot like your mom.” He said

“How do you know what my mom looks like?” I asked

“David has shown me pictures.” He replied taking Avalon out of my arms

“I guess she sent me a gift.” I said kissing him on the cheek

“You look tired try to get some sleep.” He said getting up and walking over to a chair

“You just won’t stop.” I said lying down

Before I knew it I was fast asleep and completely isolated.

Tyler’s POV

I had finally convinced Riley to fall asleep. I looked down at my daughter of a couple of hours. It was only 3am. I couldn’t believe I was a dad again and to a little baby girl.

“Hey Avalon I your dad. I know your mom told you about me. Just to let you know she is the best mother in the world. She does everything she can to make life easy for all of us. She’s loved you since the day she found out she was going to have you. I’m gone a lot but that’s part of my job and I think you’ll like that when you’re older. But to be on the same page you are not dating till I’m dead. Just always know no matter what I love you. You are basically like every dad you are my little princess.” I told her

“Knock, knock.” I heard my dad say

“Hey dad.” I said holding Avalon tight in my arms

“Riley asleep?” he asked
