12:56 am - I get the call from the sheriff's office asking if they have reached the Emerson residence.
1:01 am - My neighbor comes through the front door rushing me to her car to go to the hospital.
1:34 am - We run from the car to the ER at Silverstone Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
1:42 am - Police find me and tell me that me parents have been involved in a very serious hit and run accident.
2:37 am - The first doctor comes out and tells my neighbor about the condition of my parents. My mom has four broken ribs, her left lung is collapsed, there is a large gash on the left side of her head, her right arm is broken in two places, and she has a large gash through her abdomen. My father has a brain hemorrhage, both legs are broken, a large laceration on the right side of his chest, and they already had to revive him once.
3:51 am - My mother dies.
4:28 am - My father dies.
6:34 am - DFCS comes for me.
