Heartbeat

Thump thump, thump thump, thump thump,

My heart goes,

Faster and faster,

As you approach in the distance.

You look into my eyes, and I try my best to say the words,

But my mouth refuses to speak.

My eyes become glossy,

And my mind clears of anything I thought of before you.

We both have feelings,

We both have a heartbeat,

But never, not ever,

Have either of ours overfilled in the way mine does now, with you here.

I hear your goodbyes and can't I help but say "See you later",

Because I am afraid that if I say "Goodbye", it'll be the last time I have a chance to say anything.

Thinking of this makes my heart thump even faster, and I begin to lose focus.

Hearing your "Are you ok?" is the only thing to cure my heart ache of right now.

Seeing your face is the reboot to all sadness.

Being with you is the medicine to fulfill my happiness.
