It was a hot, humid day on august 24th, 2027. Devin Pittman was just recovering from yet another day of bullying. Rustburg High school was a hell hole for him. The principals didn't do anything when the football team beat him up. Probably because if they did, they'd have to suspend the whole team and then they wouldn't have anyone to play for the school on Friday nights so the team could do whatever they wanted to. And yet somehow, Devin was still the only target every kid chose to attack. Devin tried so hard to do great in school to try to make his mom and dad happy but all it does is just make them angrier at him.
Devin gets beaten at home over everything he does. He goes to school with marks on his body, black eyes and a swollen body and the hell doesn't end there. Devin asked the teacher to go to the restroom because he felt that he was gonna vomit from being kicked and punched in the stomach. "So sick of this place and everyone in it!" Devin thought. Suddenly, a bright white light flashed in front of him causing him to jerk back and hit hard against the lockers. "DEVIN PITTMAN!" A voice called out. "yes?" Devin called out. Suddenly Devin blacked out from the light and something else hitting him.
