Evening is falling on a brisk New York town. Citizens walking around. Miranda is just relaxing on a bench, finally unwinding after a stressful week full of school and double shifts. So she just sits sipping her caramel macchiato with no care for the world. Her phone lights up and it reads, "Mother: I need help with dinner. Come home now or I'm gonna cut your dog every minute that passes 6:30." The clock read 18:22.  It took fifteen minutes from where she was to get home.
Unless she took the alley...
Thoughts of lurking creatures entered her mind as she contemplated using the shortcut.
She didn't want her dog hurt...
She set forth into the alley and immediately heard crunching noises and she looked around only to realize that she was walking in dead leaves. She uptakes a quick walk and hears the crunching noises again, but not close to her. Light anxiety teases at the edge of her mind, but she brushes it away. She resumes her pace and rounds a dark corner, little to realize the mistake she just made.
A bulky hand shout out from the dark and trapped Miranda against the wall.
"What're you doing her by yourself, sweet vanilla bean?" the man says in a husky voice.
She tried swinging at him futilely, but his other hand trapped her hands together and he spun her around to face the cold brick.
Fear enters the girl's mind and she regrets taking that way.
The man's face crinkles up in a look of peeve and it speaks again.
"Ooh, you're gonna regret that, sweet vanilla."
He takes a blade out and proceeds to cut away her pants.
