Missing Pieces

Supercomputer

"What did you guys send me?" Laura asked as a tab opened up. She clicks on the tab and the look on her face astonished by what she saw.
"Everyone, I'm bringing you back. You have to see this."
"No wait, Laura. I feel something." Hiroki said. Then the glow appeared. This time, all of them including Laura. Closing their eyes from the severe headache they started to get, visions started to appear.
They snapped out of it. When they opened their eyes, it was clear. Tamiya took a deep breath. Then, as soon as she was going to try and fly, a mysterious person appeared. She didn't recognize who this was, but it was a girl. She ran quickly towards Tamiya. Tamiya was about to attack when she suddenly ran right through her. Tamiya panicked and screamed. Sam and Hiroki heard her and looked down, even though they didn't want to.
"It's coming up!" Sam pulled out her claws.
"No wait. I think I know that person." Hiroki shoves Sam aside. The girl landed on the platform. She stretched her hand up forward until the screen appeared.
"I'm here, Jeremy." She said as if she was talking to somebody. Sam and Hiroki just stopped and watched. She opened up the screen and began typing and dragging in something like she was moving around codes or what not. Hiroki then stepped forward. He was afraid something might go wrong. But he didn't care. He was trying to figure out who this person is. Slowly, he approaches her.
"Umm, hello?" He says to her.
No response.
Hiroki suddenly recognizes the pink hair.
"All done, Jeremy." She says.
"Wait that's -"
"Jeremy?" She said. She turned around. There she was. Faced in front of Sam and Hiroki. Hiroki knew exactly who this person was. The pink hair. The voice. It was Aelita!
"Aelita!" Hiroki runs straight towards her. He tries to hug her, but went through her instead. Sam grabs him quickly from falling over the edge. He was okay.
"What's going on?" Sam asked.
"It must be something we pressed, earlier." Hiroki says to Sam.
"So what is this? Is this a memory or something?"
"Don't know."
"Yumi!" Aelita screamed out. The gang can hear blasts coming from outside. Hiroki reacted as soon as he heard Yumi scream in pain.
"Yumi!" Hiroki said at the same time with Aelita. She waved around her star bracelet and wings appeared. Sam distracted by Aelita's beautiful wings, Hiroki broke grip from her and followed Aelita outside.
"Hiroki, wait!" Sam tries to stop him. Hiroki follows her outside the tower and jumped. He took a hard fall down, but rolled back up. Shoving Tamiya out of the way, he went outside.
"Aelita!" Yumi's cries for help continued. Hiroki followed Aelita. She was too fast, though. Hiroki did his best to catch up to her. He jumped up the rocks that took him back up. He then sees her go the big rock platform above them. Except, Hiroki didn't remember seeing that there. He looked around and saw a way to get up there without taking the long way. He pulled out his knives and started running up to the top of the hill where it was near the edge of the other platform that Aelita went to. He climbed up with his knives using them as support.
As soon as he arrived, he saw Yumi. She was being attacked somehow by the tentacled monster he saw before.
"Yumi!" He cried out with Aelita, again. But he knew it, Yumi was knocked down unconscious. He was too late. As was Aelita, who had arrived before him. Aelita unleashed an energy field to the monster, but missed. Then, it quickly grabbed Aelita. Hiroki tried to save her. But there was nothing he could do. The monster did the same thing it did to Yumi. Two ends of it's tentacles focused on Aelita's head and a strange red glow appeared around Aelita. As soon as Sam and Tamiya arrived, they saw it too. Sam and Tamiya tried to attack it but it phased through.
"This is a memory, then." Sam confirmed. Tamiya couldn't believe what's going on. Neither did Hiroki. Aelita then went down. The monster didn't stop there, however. It took Aelita and then vanished. Sam and Tamiya saw.
"Wait, where did they go?" Tamiya asked.
"Look." Sam points out. She points to what appeared to be Yumi. Hiroki walked to her and fell down to his knees.
"Yumi?" He tried to touch her face, but his hands phased right through her as well. Hiroki closed his eyes trying to hold it all in. And then, as soon as he opened them, she was gone. Hiroki was in pain. Biting his lips inside his mouth, he couldn't hold the grief any longer.
