It was sooner likely that in the deep dusk that infiltrated the sky like soldiers carrying out a colorful mission, that you would soon enter the void than to continue your life on the planet. Anywhere but here, you would tell yourself. The words seemed comforting.
By the pull of a lever, you watched colors flash, vivid pain filling your body as you dropped. A voice was heard yelling a familiar name, but you started vanishing before you could comprehend the voice. You felt a warm and sudden embrace, questioning how you're not gone. Your vision fills with green before you enter a sleep.
After what only seemed like a couple minutes, you woke up to find yourself in a comfy bed. You felt woozy, uncomfortable despite the obvious attempts at helping your comfort around the mysterious room. The area near your jaw hurt, and you could tell your soul was deeply injured as well. As you went to sit up, you noticed a figure resting on your belly. Intrigued, you rubbed the back of its head. It slowly turned over and saw you resting on your elbows. Whatever it was, it flung itself onto you and your injured body. Your elbows gave out and you were back to laying down, the figure snuggling you to death. It seemed to light a cigarette behind you and finally let go, letting you get a good look at it.
The figure was distinctly male, his jaw masculine. You soon noticed this creature didn't seem to own any skin, lips, or anything of the sort. His nose was a stub where it was an open triangle. Before you could muster up the will to say anything to him, he spoke.
"Why did you think doing what you were trying to do was a good idea??" He asked, rather demandingly. You looked to the side, a little in shame. You thought about what to say, then looked back into his one yellow eye.
".. I thought it was the only way out.." you choked out, the pain in your jaw killing you. He held you close again, this time more genuinely. Why is someone caring what happens to me NOW? you thought, trying to stay composed enough to handle yourself. You always hated being a crybaby in front of others.
You soon noticed the cuts on your arm were visible. You tried to hide them, but the skele guy grabbed your arm.
".. I've already seen them. If you're smart enough you won't do that ever again." He speaks very sternly, almost as if he's angry but not quite. It's low enough to where it's comforting. He lets go of you and brings some food, he's sure you're hungry. "My brother calls me by my proper name, but you can just call me G. You've been out for a couple hours and I was beginning to worry it was permanent."
You mumbled an I wish it was permanent and ate the food he prepared. He gave you a small glare to ensure you knew he heard it. You rolled your eyes at him. You stop to taste the food. It's a very nice flavor, but you can't tell what the food is with your eyes. It's something you've never had before. It must be some sort of stew.
You intently gaze at him, curious as to what is to come later.
