Ay, lovely Mendes. (COMPLETED)

*Chapter one*

After I wrote down the last signature on the contract I give the pen back.

"Congratulations, I'm sure you'll be a great add to our team!"
"Thank you so much sir." Smiling I shake Andrew Gertlers' hand.

"I will see you Tuesday 24th?"
"Yes sir."
He nods and I make my way out of the office.

When I walk out of the 'Island Records' building I grab my car keys from my bag and step into my car.

I can't believe I ACTUALLY got the job. This is so, so crazy. I dial my mums number and when she picks up I yell really happy.

"I GOT THE JOB MUM, I GOT IT!"
"Ohh Honey! That's amazing!! Sheila come here! Your sister got the job."

I laugh when I hear my mum yell on the other side to my sister. I'll be home in half an hour, see you soon!"
Before my mum can answer I hang up.

45 minutes later I park my car in the drive way and walk inside.
"MUM? SHEILA? I'M HOME!"
"IN THE KITCHEN!." My mum yells back.

"Bloody hell Mary! YOU GOT THE JOB! YOU'RE JOINING THE ILLUMINATE WORLD TOUR TEAM!" My sister screams in my ear.
"Ay Shei, but no need to yell that loud. I actually need my hearing." I laugh. My sister laughs too.
She's only 14 months younger than me and she's one of my best friends.

"How do you two feel about dinner at Van Boulders?" We smile at mum. "That be marvellous."

Mums a lawyer so she doesn't have that much time for us. Dad died a few years ago of a brain bleed.

I was 15 at the time and after the funeral we moved from London to Uxbridge, Canada.

I am 19 now so Sheila and I are okay with being alone a lot. I do feel bad for leaving her behind when I join the tour tho.

"I'm just going to wash up real quick."
"Coming with you."
Sheila and I walk upstairs. She falls down on my bed and I walk into the bathroom.
I leave the door between my bedroom and the bathroom open while wash my face in the sink.

"When are you leaving?"
"In a fortnight."
"BUT THATS SO SOON."
"Yeah well...-" I dry my face and walk back into my room. "..- I got the job very last minute."
She sighs. "You'll be okay Shei."
"I know I will, but will you?!"

I raise one eyebrow. "Ofcourse I will."
She nods. "Ofcourse."
I smile.

Then I walk to my closet and change shirts. After that I put my hair in a pony tail and we walk back downstairs.

"Ready Mum?"
"Ye..- no we need to file the case next week-... I'm coming sweeties."
I roll my eyes when mum walks into the hallway while calling. Sheila laughs.

We walk to the car and in the car we sing a long to the radio. 20 minutes later we arrive at the restaurant and get a table.

We order the usual and Sheila tells about her day at school. I still can't believe she's a senior now.
"You're getting so oooooold." I joke. Mum laughs.

"Both my babies are getting so old, I can't believe you're leaving for 4 months." She starts crying.
"Oh mum...-" I feel tears come up too.
"-..You know I'll ring every day right?"
She nods.

I take her hand and Sheila does the same. "Together for ever." Sheila whispers. I smile at her. "Forever."

The rest off the night was full of joy and we left when the restaurant closed.

Back home I fell down on my bed and before I even closed my eyes I fell into a deep sleep.
