It was a dark room, pitch black. nothing was in sight, and it was oddly silent. I couldn't move my wrists, legs, arms....anything really. Only the sweet sound of silence rang through the hollow room. Panic kicked in, my brain going into overdrive.

I could hear...noises upstairs. Presuming, I was in a basement. It was rather cold and eerie. Nothing about this was good, I decided. Struggling a bit to see how tight the cuffs were, It was pretty much no escaping for me. I called for help, my voice ringing out and bouncing off the walls. Wincing a bit, I heard how loud I was being. Apparently the person upstairs did too. The shuffled creaked a bit, like someone... or something had just got up from a chair to see where the sound was coming from.

I could hear footsteps, they seemed heavy. Almost inhuman. I squinted in the darkness, trying to see if there was a door or something in the room. The darkness surrounding me tainted my vision, making it near impossible to see.

I heard a click, followed by multiple other clicks. Unlocking. Light broke through the shadows as a door in the far left corner of the room. I blinked a few times to get the blurriness out of my eyes.

As the light poured in, I could barely make out the sight of something shiny. Many things, in fact. Getting a better look, I saw that the walls were lined...with knives. All shapes and sizes, all lengths. The worst of all, they were all polished and sharpened to perfection, not a speck of dust or grime. They all looked new, I could almost feel the sharpness.

I averted my gaze from the mosaic of knives and to the man who opened the door. I looked him up and down, taking in his features. He looked...extremely out of place. He certainly wasn't human. His hair was a dark blueish green, sort of like a tuft of moss. He was muscular, yet slim and fit. And his eyes terrified me. They were heterochromic, one blue and one green. The scleras around his eyes were just... empty voids. Black, there was no life behind them. Just emptiness.

The man spoke, his voice raised and dropped octaves, glitching like a broken recording. His body fizzled, blocky chunks appearing and dissapearing, like a computer that got hacked far too many times.

"Welcome to my little playroom. You like all my prized possessions?" He cackled, the bleeding slant across his neck dripping blood and plasma across the floor. The smell was terrible, burning the inside of my nose. I didn't know how much longer until he'd let me go, if ever.

"No.. I really don't. Please let me go." I tried to maintain my composure, but I was struck with a wave of fear as he chuckled in response. Sweat was already forming on my forehead, I was quaking at this point.

"I don't think you're leaving here anytime soon. I'll let you leave when you're dead." His glitchy voice came louder as he stepped closer to me, running his finger along my chin, up my jawline and eventually resting on my forehead.

"So why don't we have some fun beforehand, hmm?" He walked to his decorated wall, glancing at his knives, as if he was choosing the right ones to pick. He brought a small one off the wall, it was curved at the end, more for slicing rather than stabbing. He laughed, walking back to me. "So let's start small.."

The glitchy man stood beside me, drawing the knife along my jaw. It was so. Sharp. Even the tiniest amount of pressure on the blade, and I could feel my flesh tear like rice paper. Delicate and thin. Tears formed at my eyes, the pain unlike anything I had experienced.

The blade slit through the first layer of skin along my jawline, I felt the beads of blood that were forming on my neck start to run down and drip onto my collarbone.

"Why are ye crying? We haven't even started the fun yet!" He giggled and put the blood coated knife to the side, to wash later I guessed. He marched to the wall again, This time grabbing four identical-looking knives. They gleamed menacingly, They weren't normal. But then again what even was normal at this point?

The blades twisted, ending in a point at the top. Much like I was seeing a flat, sharpened corkscrew. He flipped the blades around, juggling around a bit before catching them perfectly. He looked at my arms, how they were chained down. He placed the corkscrew blade was...dull? It didn't break the skin. Had he purposely not sharpened these ones, or had he just goofed?

He plunged the blade into my arm. You know how as a kid, you were exposed to the awful scrapping and squeaking whenever the chalk missed and/or scraped the chalkboard, and made the extremely cringy noise, that just made your teeth clench together? I felt the blade scrape against the bone of my arm, and I experienced the same, awful feeling. He did the same with my other arm, and both my legs.

I was in so much pain, at one point.. the dullness of the blade only made it worse. The pure pressure from the blade hurt, the skin in my leg still didn't give. He got impatient, hearing my cries of pain when the blade broke the flesh in my left thigh. The tip of the blade hit directly on the bone, and I heard cartilage rip out of place.

He twisted the blade, I could hear the sickening sound of my flesh ripping, like layers of construction paper being torn quickly by a child in third grade. The man uncuffed my limbs. My arms and legs had been pinned down to the chair, every breath I  took I could feel the scrape of cartilage and bone against the curve of the knife.

He snarled a bit as he saw my reactions fading. I was numb at this point, he wanted to end it.

Taking a large knife, he stabbed it into my chest, just above my stomach. Blood flew from my mouth, I felt him jerk the blade up, cracking my ribs and scrambling my insides so much that I was sure I was now anatomically incorrect. I heard the squelch from when the large edge of the blade ripped through my lungs and eventually cut my heart in half.

My vision started fading to black, the last thing I saw was him standing in front of me, running his fingers on the flat of the blade. The room stunk heavily of blood and guts, as my eyes wandered downwards I could see intestines soaked in blood, dripping heavily onto the floor. With the last of my strength, I looked up one last time. He was grinning, proud of his new artwork. My vision blurred out, all I could see was black. However that glitched voice remained in my head as I bled out in the chair.

"Say goodbye"
