Jeremy woke up in a cold sweat, instantly looking around his dark room, the only light coming from a slit through his blinds.
"Damnit, did you really have to wake me up this early?" He groaned into the open air. Anyone uneducated would think Jeremy was merely talking to himself, however, he was talking to his beloved Squip. As a response, there was silence.
Maybe he is asleep. Wait- do Squips even sleep?
Jeremy shrugged off his thought and went to his computer, flipping it open and pulling up websites. If Squip was gone, he'd have some time to himself. He opened his favorite website, PornHub, and started browsing, followed by a shock going through him.
Honestly, Jeremey, I thought we discussed this.
The iconic whiney voice of Squip echoed throughout his mind. Jeremy jumped and slammed down his computer screen as a habit.
"G-God I was just- you know there isn't a point in trying." Jeremy sighed and got up in an embarrassed mess. He turned to look behind him. Nothing. "You can come out, it's safe."
The image was blurry at first, but faded into the tall stance of Squip, standing proper as usual. He kept a straight face as he brushed a strand of his gray-black hair and looked through Jeremy with his piercing blue inverted eyes.
"Jeremy, honestly, there are much better things in life to be doing rather than masterbating to videos over the internet. I'd like to inform you that half of the women on- porn? Yes- half the women on porn are very fake, and most of their feminine features are p-"
Jeremy cut him off by waving his arms. "Okay, okay! Just- oh shit, school!" Jeremy rushed around his room in a hurried heap of awkwardness, gathering his clothes together. Meanwhile, his Squip stood watching him. Eventually, he coughed to signal Jeremy to look at him.
"Perhaps I should tell you that school has been canceled do to a snow day. Conveniently, it's Friday, so you have a three day weekend."
Jeremy stopped and stared at him with a look that seemed to say 'are you serious?'.
"Could've told me that a little sooner?"
Squip simply shrugged and started to pace.
"I agree that I should've informed you on this before you grew nervous, but I didn't because getting ready in the morning is a good habit to keep. It makes you healthier and helps you to create a better schedule and sense of productiveness. Maybe you should get dressed and make yourself breakfast. Breakfast is also very important as it fuels your energy for the en-"
"Oh gOD ENOUGH!" Jeremy cut him off before he started off with another rant. "I get it, I'll get dressed or whatever. Just- not right now."
Squip sighed in defeat, walking over to the bedroom door and opening it.
"Fair enough, your father is at work so you have the house to yourself for a bit. Enjoy it."
Jeremy shrugged and walked out of his room, and into the living room. He opened up the windows and squinted his eyes at the sun before looking around his house boredly.
"I really don't have anything to do today, actually."
Squip appeared in front of Jeremy.
"Maybe Michael is free? Or someone else?"
Jeremy looked at Squip suspiciously.
"Michael? You don't even like him-"
"My opinions may have converted."
"So you learned that he is the best person to ever exist!"
"Tch. I have only learned that Michael is a compatible companion for you. That's all." A hinge of jealousy broke through, but Squip just rolled his eyes and began to walk over to the window to gaze out. Jeremy had noticed how jealous Squip sounded and pondered over if he should mention it.
Woah, jealousy? Damn. I've never heard him jealous before.
"I'm not jealous."
"AhHG- you need to stop doing that!"
"Jeremy, I'm not jealous."
"keep telling yourself that."
"JEREMY."
"God! I'm sorry, calm down!" Jeremy laughed to himself a bit. "Just help me make breakfast."
