The grass gleamed with the
There was blood stained grass and used weapons everywhere I look. In the beginning there were about 20 of us and now? Well lets just say I'm usually the only one that makes it out alive. With someone else. A boy. I don't know his name. Or what he looks like. But I can see his body crumpled on the floor with the many others. I recognise the head of his dragon tattoo curling it's way around the back of his neck. I start to walk towards his body surrounded by 18 other pale and lifeless ones. The sight of the crimson blood in the middle of his back makes me cringe. I thought he was protected.
I hear the sounds of twigs cracking behind me. My heart beats so loudly in my chest I can hear it in my ears. I turn around to find a tall and bulky man standing before me. My eyes immediately avert to the gleaming metal he's holding in his hand. Guilt starts to eat away at me, turning me into nothing. I know what I did. He would be the last person I'd admit it to.
"My dear, we could've done so much together, if only you had listened." He trails off twirling a lock of my hair between his calloused fingers. I jerk back at what seems like a poisonous touch.
I knew something different about him. He may have looked innocent on the outside but on the inside? that's a completely different story. He has a monster inside of him clawing into each part of his body trying to find a way out. Destroying and tearing every thread of family lines.
There was a bang. More blood. Another dead body. I blink and then it's all gone.
