Saving Sara

Introduction

"I'm sorry, but we've done everything we can. It's time to let her go."

These words pierce me like a knife and find a home in a deep, dark place within my heart. They settle in and a dark shadow casts over the light that Sara always brought me.

"There has to be something else you can do. Please, you have to do something!" I cry out.

"The only thing keeping her alive is the machines. Sara is gone."
