Jennifer POV
"This party is amazing," Rebecca told me while drinking her beer.
As far as I know Beck, she could drink two bottles of beer straight up if she is not in control. She already had two mugs.
"Come on let's dance. Don't be such a loser, you just gotta shake some bootay," she said.
Oh no. She's talking in her drunken language.
"Yeah no thanks, but we have to go home. We're getting late, Andy will kill us and don't get drunk too much, I can't drive," I explained.
"Fine then let's go," she stood up and we head out the party. I keep forgetting how the heck her car looks like or where on earth we parked the car, perhaps I was drunk too.
But I had only one mug.
Finally, she spotted her car and we both get in and she turned the engine on.
"Are you sure you can drive?" I asked her. "Well, I feel little funny," she giggled. I heaved a huge sigh.
I could ask Mark but he could be busy in his party and I didn't want to disturb him. If we took an Uber right now, it would take years to reach home.
"I'll just call Amelia. If she is awake we're saved and if not, let's just sleep here in the car," I told Rebecca. I dialed Amelia's number on my phone and while it rang I prayed,
PLEASE ANSWER.
Amelia picked up the phone and said groggily, "Hello? Who's this ruining my sleep?"
"Yes. Thank you for answering,"
"Jennifer? Why are you still awake and why are you calling this late?"
"Beck and I are still here in Mark's party and Beck can't drive. Can you please pick us up?"
"I can't understand why you even go to parties past midnight,"
"We are because we were invited?"
"You know what. Fine, I'll be there in a couple of minutes,"
I thanked her and she hung up. I kept the phone in the drinks compartment and relaxed on my seat. Beck was already snoring.
Mark was Beck and Amelia's childhood friend. We first met in the start of college. I honestly thought he was a douche bag but he turned out to be a really kind person who throws around dad jokes all the time.
Beck helped him arrange the party because he couldn't do it all alone. Amelia couldn't help because she had some important tasks to do. Andy, well, she was just being herself. I just helped with the invitations.
Feeling drowsy, I closed my eyes and wonder what would happen to Beck's car tomorrow and how many girls will find out that they're pregnant.
*
I hear a horn which startled me out of sleep. Guessing that it was Amelia, I tried to wake up Beck, shaking her, but she was deep asleep. I got out of the car and opened Beck's door.
"Come on, Amelia is here. Wake up, Beck!" I screamed in her ears instead she whined and went back to her sleep.
God, Amelia is so gonna be mad.
"Hurry up. Now will you? I'm tired," Amelia called.
"Hold your horses, Amelia!" I called back.
"BECK!" I shouted.
Instead, she just giggled and said, "Stop it,"
"Need a hand?" a man voice asked me from behind. "Please. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it," I said turning to the guy. It was Mark. "Mark! Oh thank god that you're here. It was a cool party you did there," I complimented. "Thanks. Rebecca was so helpful to set this party up with me," he replied with a smile.
