Children laughing, children playing.
Calming breeze, and cushioned grass,
the smell of smoke from a tray of ash.
Shadows cast below their feet,
darkness begins its dreadful creep.
Children laughing, children crying.
The shadows of truth and reality turn themselves into knives,
leaving scars as they cut deep.
Bitter tears fall as children weep.
Children crying, childhood dyeing.
A father shouts as he is misjudged,
a mother weeps with regret.
Children hiding, children crying.
Wishing for the nightmare to disappear,
Wishing for a world where they have nothing to fear.
Children lost, children confused.
Being taken away,
Things will never be the same.
Life no longer just a game,
for now it was only filled with pain.
Children crying, children fighting,
for their dreams, for their lives
trying get back everything.
Children crying, Children Fighting.
They bear their fangs,
sharpen their claws,
ready to give it their all
at the risk of it.
Children screaming, children cheering.
Sweet salvation,
a home they love,
but the cost was great.
Children smiling, childhood sleeping.
