"And all of you thought me and Yuki were crazy for wanting to look for our parents old base!" Artemis shouted as she walked into her dad's room. "Quiet Artemis, just get to exploring already" replied Violet walking past her with Ray. Artemis grinned as she looked around the room, from the bed with purple underglow, to the black light lit desk of her father's. This was where he spent a majority of his free time, she remembered now. "Still boggle my mind how dad is such an introvert and still got married to Mom. Same for uncle Trystan too but oh well things happen for a reason I guess." She said as she fell backwards onto the king sized bed and stretched. She took a long breath and let her mind settle. "What was dad back during the first crisis again? He was second in command of the blade dancers for majority of the time for Trystan but what happened when he became commander of the nightstalkers again?" She questioned closing her eyes and crossing her arms. She heard a knock from the doorway, she quickly sat up and opened her eyes. She saw the purple captain standing in the doorway looking a little startled at her. She realized she probably looked pissed off and relaxed her face and arms. "Um did you want to say something?" She asked awkwardly. "Well I was coming to see if any of you needed help with getting in, but I saw you were deep in thought. So I wanted to say if you need me to get you something to jog your memory perhaps." He said. "Hmm actually do you know what my father was? Like I know he was a second in command and a commander but what else? I can't remember." She asked. "Oh? Well from what I remember during the last couple months of serving your father I did remember him saying something about leading a special operations squad of hunters. Artemis' eyes widened " oh my god that's it! I remember now Yuki told me too the council of hunters made up of our dads and other respected hunters decided they couldn't get by with normal scouting and Trystan's bladedancer marine corp approach so they asked him to form a spec ops team under the nightstalker's banner!" She yelled with joy. "I'm glad I could've been of service madam." Said the purple captain with a respectful bow. "You don't need to be so formal around us we aren't ones for formalities so don't worry." She said as she stood up and went over to the desk and sat in the chair. "I'll take that into account then" replied the purple captain. Artemis examined the desk in front of her, something was off. There were a couple of holo tablets, one had a calendar pulled up with important dates circled in purple with one day in particular being circled multiple times "Final battle" it read. "How long were they preparing for the fight against Oryx?" She thought as she pushed that tablet to the side. The other tablet seemed to be more than a calendar. They seemed to be her dad's voice logs, she scrolled to the bottom one first and pressed play. A higher version of her dad's voice was heard " I guess this will be my log -" "DIARY YOU FUCK" she heard Trystan scream in the distance. "FUCK YOU ASS HAT IT'S A LOG!" Her dad screamed back. She couldn't help but chuckle. "... anyway this'll be my voice log while we're stuck in this world whether we live to be some care free teenagers again or we die here as guardians this is something I've always secretly wanted and as crazy as it may be I'm happy it happened. End log of the first day of being in Destiny." She cracked a smile and clicked the next one. "Day two looks like GHG is back together and we've decided to put all our efforts on helping make the death toll as small as possible." Spinnerking said as a static noise was heard. "Buuuut let's be honest we're gonna take our time for the most part. Despite our lives being on the line nothing good comes from being tunnel visioned. She heard Trystan say as the static was heard again. "You could ask to take the tablet instead of fucking just taking it you ass jacket." Spinnerking said. Trystan laughed " Somethings never change." She heard him say before the log ended. "Ya I guess they don't you two still act the same back home" Artemis smiled. She went through the logs passing when their parents became commanders of the subclasses and the second battle of twilight gap she expected to hear the one about them starting preparations for oryx up next. She clicked the next entry "We've been here for five months now as I've said before Kassidy has joined us and has become biashii's second in command, oryx is not long from us, but we've gained overcharged supers to help us make it easier for the fight." Spinnerking said. Artemis formed a void arrow in her hand and stared at it as she continued to listen. "But we don't believe this will be enough to save the remaining players in destiny, Kaelen has an idea to get help or learn more about what we need to do. He said he'll show us tonight, biashii's been with him all day too. I hope he's right... end log" he finished the log. She raised an eyebrow and saw the next log's date wasn't the next day. She looked to the purple captain who was still waiting patiently. "Oh I'm sorry I thought you left a while ago." She said as she stood up. "It is not a problem Ms. Artemis usually your father would tell me to go "take it easy" if my help wasn't needed." The captain replied. "Hmm actually before I do that do you know anything about what happened here January 12th there's a unusual date gap in my father's logs?" She asked the captain. "I'm afraid I couldn't tell you the four captains that served your father's were in the reef acting as diplomats to make sure the reef would back the city's attack if preparations weren't met." She frowned "damnit... ok well can you please tell Yuki I found a load of dope shit and I want her to see it. Then please take it easy." She said sitting on the soft purple bed. The captain nodded and walked down the hall to biashii's room. When Yuki arrived she noticed her friend had an smile, Yuki brushed away the streak of orange hair that was in front of her eye and sat next to her. "Soo what is this "dope shit" you speak of?" Yuki asked. Artemis handed her the tablet "listen to them and pay close attention to the dates Yuki." She said rest her head on Yuki's shoulder. She waited till she got to the log she wanted her to see. "Wait why's this one two days after the last one?" She asked looking to Artemis. She shrugged "Don't got a clue. And if you noticed that's the only one with any time gap ... it's odd is it not?" She asked still staring down at the tablet. "He did say something about uncle Kaelen and my dad working on something ... maybe-" before Yuki finished someone's sprinting footsteps were heard approaching them, Violet appeared in the doorway out of breath. "Guys we need you two now, Ray and Tyler found uncle Kaelen's old lab and well shits kicking off and Gary went down to try and help keep things under control!" She yelled. Yuki and Artemis eyes widened "GARY IS TRYING TO KEEP SHIT UNDER CONTROL!?" Yuki and Artemis screamed in unison, they looked at each other. "Stop that." they said in unison again. "Guys can we do this another time?" Violet asked in a frantic voice as she motioned for them to follow her. They got up and ran down the hall with Violet to the elevator that was apparently at the end. They went down what seemed like would be the center of the moon but what they saw made them wish they were in the hive infested caverns of the moon. A humongous cylinder room, it was a lab with the normal beakers and tubes with assortments of chemicals in them but there were also what Artemis could only assumed were samples of every alien race they fight daily. But that didn't matter as much as the giant metal contraption in the middle of the room that seemed to be creating some kind of portal. The contraption had 3 rings spinning in the middle of it, equally as giant. The portal formed in the middle of the rings. Her eyes followed the wires attached to it and saw the console where their warlock Ray and Titan Gary frantically pressed buttons and pulled levers trying to stop it. Tyler was standing behind them shielding his eyes from the near blinding light the portal was producing, he turned and saw the girls in the elevator. "I don't think we can stop it" Tyler screamed. "I have it under control damn it!" Ray screamed. The portal seemed to get more violent and unstable as time passed. Artemis and Yuki's pulled the back of their cloaks up to shield their eyes and started to walk up to the boys, Violet followed close behind shielding her eyes with her forearm. "Ray please if you can't fix this it's fine you don't have to prove anything, we can still get outta here before anyone gets hurt!" Yuki screamed over the whirring of the machine. "If I say I got this under control then I have it under control!" Ray said as he pulled one last lever. The portal instantly disappeared and the machine stopped whirring and slowed to a stop. Artemis and Yuki dropped their cloaks and Violet put her arm to her side again. Gary and Ray breathed heavily leaning on the console and Tyler stared at the machine still in confusion. "What happened?" Artemis asked. "There were notes in my dad's room talking about research on some thing that would solidify their fight against oryx, but none of them said what it was just that it was in his lab. I thought it would be in that door at the end of the hall, I was right. When I started looking around I saw this console and didn't notice it was wired to that damned machine until after I accidentally activated it." He explained taking breaths between every few words. "Um guys ..." Tyler said in a quivering voice. "What?" Yuki asked quickly. Before he could reply the machine sped back up to its original speed and the portal reappeared in the blink of an eye. Artemis felt a strong pull toward the portal, she looked to Yuki and Violet as they were lifted off the ground and flew toward the portal. "WHAT THE FUCK NOO!" Yuki screamed as she was absorbed into the portal. "GOD DAMN IT GARY!" Yelled Violet as she was also sucked into the portal. "MY B GUYS THAT'S ON ME!" Yelled Gary as he followed. "FOR THE RECORD I DID HAVE IT UNDER CONTROL!" Yelled Ray being absorbed as well. "WELP HERE WE GO AGAIN SEE YOU IF WE DON'T IMMEDIATELY GET VAPORIZED ARTEMIS!" Yelled Tyler as he was absorbed. Artemis felt her feet lift off the ground, she was immediately pulled at a high speed toward the portal " AH FUCK A DUCK!" She screamed as she felt the oddly cooled portal absorb her. The next thing she knew she was being shaken awake, she slowly opened her eyes and saw Yuki kneeling over her. "No we're not dead. As much as you want to be." Yuki said with a grin. Artemis cracked a smile and sat up and looked around them. They were in the same lab as before, just without the look of poor maintenance. She saw Violet sitting on an empty table and Ray checking around the room. "Uh I'm afraid of the answer but where's Tyler and Gary?" Artemis asked. "Well you're right to be afraid. They went up the elevator to scout ahead, I know you're probably feeling that this isn't the same lab we were just in too." Yuki said standing up and extending her hand to Artemis. "Ya ... it's almost like people have been here recently." She replied looking around until she noticed the elevator was coming down. Yuki noticed as well and went over to it "well that was pretty quick let's see what happened now." Yuki said. Artemis followed and waited for the door to open. The doors slid open and they were greeted by the boys falling in front of their feet, behind them were two hunters one wearing a knuckle head radar and the mantle of gheleon cloak wielding a red death. The other one wore a purple queen's guard cloak and graviton forfeit welding Mida multi tool. The two pointed their guns at GHG still lost at their situation. "I want to know how a group of guardians A. Found our moonbase B. Are just sitting in Kaelen's lab and C Why the fuck you're still sitting on that table do you know manners for fucks sake?" The knuckle head hunter yelled pointing his bayonet at Violet. "Sheesh I'm sorry" Violet said standing up. Gary and Tyler stood back up and stood side to side with Yuki and Artemis. Yuki walked up to the red death wielding hunter slowly. The hunter pointed his gun at her "Not another step." He said softly. "Yuki? What are you doing!? Are you insane?" Artemis questioned reaching out to her. The purple hunter moved up a little aiming at her "Stay there or I will shoot." He said. "... I only know one person who talks like he's trying his hardest to make a joke even in tense situations. That man so happens to be my dad. Your name's Trystan Kobayashi isn't it?" Yuki asked looking at the red death hunter. Both hunters' grip on their weapons loosened "I thought as much after you said 'Kaelen's lab.'" Yuki said pushing his gun out of the way to hug him. The purple hunter stared at his friend in confusment. "... Then that means you're Logan Nyberg correct?" She asked the purple hunter. "Um yes." He replied in a confused tone. Artemis pushed his gun aside and hugged him as well. The rest of GHG stood in shock. "This is where that portal went..." awed Ray. "This is a game how could our parents achieve time travel in a game?" Questioned Violet. "Well why don't we ask them?" Tyler suggested looking at the elevator.
