Paper Hearts (IwaOi)

Chapter 2

Oikawa stayed under the water for a minute before surfacing, gasping for some air. He got out from the tub, grabbing his towel and wrapping it around his waist. He then wore some pajamas before laying on his bed. He laid flat on his bed and cried himself to sleep.

Oikawa woke up the next day when he heard a loud knock on his door. His eyes are puffy from too much crying.  He ignored the knock, and it stopped but then his phone started to ring, he groaned as he answered the call. 

"Open up." Iwaizumi said before ending the call.  

  Oh god, you're the least person that I want to see right now.

Oikawa sighed as he got up and  opened his door. "Woah what's wrong with your eyes Shity-kawa?" Iwaizumi asked when he saw Oikawa's eyes ."Nothing, I was  watching this really sad movie last night and it made me cry. " He lied. "Huh, you still watched movie last night?" He shook his head. "Here, Matsukawa said that you had a stomach ache. You should have taken a rest last night instead of watching some movies" he said handing him a box of medicines.

Oikawa took the box and laughed. "You're really dense Iwa-chan." he said. You can't even tell that I'm lying. Iwaizumi frowned ."But thanks for this medicine." he said. "You're welcome, I was just worried because you suddenly disappeared last night. I don't want you to get sick." Iwaizumi said and laughed. Stop . You're making things hard for me.  

Iwaizumi suddenly reached out and caressed Oikawa's cheeks that was strained by his tears.Oikawa closed his eyes and held Iwaizumi's hand that was still caressing him as if this will be the last time that he will be able to hold his first love's hand. They stayed in that position for a minute before Iwaizumi removed his hand.

"Are you really ok?" Iwaizumi asked. NO! OF COURSE NOT! I'M NOT OK! BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU  WITH SOMEONE ELSE.IT REALLY FCKING HURTS IWA-CHAN!  Oikawa wanted to scream those words to Iwaizumi but he remembered that he doesn't have the right to say those words to him because he's just a best friend,so once again he answered him with another lie. "Of course I'm ok." he chuckled.

"Oh you're wife's with you?" He asked when he saw Iwaizumi's wife inside his car, she waved at him and Oikawa waved back. "Ah yes, actually we we're going on a one month trip in Kyoto, and I told her that I want to come here first to check on you." He smiled. "Oh what a really nice guy, you're wife's really blessed to have you." he said and pushed Iwaizumi gently. " Go she's waiting for you." he said and pushed him away again. "Wait bu---" Iwaizumi was interrupted by his wife's call. "Look she's already bored. Have fun on your honeymoon!" Oikawa grinned and winked at Iwaizumi before he quickly went back inside his house. 

He waved his hand on his window and watched Iwaizumi's car go.

He looked at the paper bag he is holding and put it inside his medicine box. "Kyoto huh. We also talked about going to Kyoto together when we were still in high school, but now you're going with someone else." he chuckled, and tears start to flow through his cheeks. "Stupid, why am I crying again." he wiped his tears.

We're already on board. Take care ok? Get a rest, and don't forget to drink your medicine. Get well soon.

To: Iwa-chan 💪

Thanks for worrying. You enjoy your honeymoon ok? HAVE FUN!! ;) ;) :) :) :) 

As he pressed the send button, his tears didn't stopped from flowing down through his cheeks. 

Days and weeks went by after Iwaizumi's wedding but Oikawa still locked himself inside his room. Sometimes Hanamaki and Matsukawa would visit him and stay the night. Sometimes Kindaichi and Kunimi would bring him foods because Oikawa would just eat cup noodles and they would spend the day cleaning Oikawa's house. They tried to cheer him up and would force him to get out from his house. It would work but they could see that he's still not enjoying it.    

One day the four of them rushed to Oikawa's house when they did not received any response from Oikawa, their calls unanswered and no replied on their messages. When they arrived in front of the house it was left unlocked so they went inside without asking permission and when they got inside they're shocked to see Oikawa sitting on the couch staring at the T.V screen while holding a cutter.

  "Oh hey guys." He said when he noticed his former teammates. "What brings you here?"  

Hanamaki gasped and immediately snatched the cutter and threw it away on the floor.  "What brings us here?!" He repeated and grabbed Oikawa by his collar. "You're not answering our calls and you did not even bother to reply on our messages! And then we see you holding that thing?!" he snapped and threw Oikawa back to the couch. "What if we arrived late huh?! What if...what if you already did somethng to yourself?! " Hanamaki's voice cracked. "Please stop this Oikawa." He said.

He stayed quiet but tears start to stream down his cheeks. "But I'm so tired. It hurts, so much. Makki-chan it really fkcing hurts you know!" He cried loudly and dropped on the floor covering his face while he cried.

 "I know, we know. It hurts but you can't continue being like this. Don't go hurting yourself, please. " Hanamaki said.

 "Oikawa this can't continue. You can't stay forever and lock yourself inside your house." Matsukawa said. "We...We don't want to see you in this situation, please don't hurt yourself." he bit the inside of his cheeks to stop the tears that are  threatening to flow out.  

Hanamaki kneeled down and hugged him tightly,caressing his back. 

The other three kneel down and also hugged them. "We know that you're currently heartbroken senpai, but please, we don't want to see you in this situation, you already suffered for almost a month now." Kindaichi said, he also was about to cry but he don't want to look stupid especially in front of Kunimi so he forced himself not to cry.

They stayed in that position until Oikawa calmed down. When they noticed that Oikawa fell asleep they carefully carried him back to his room. Hanamaki and Kindaichi cleaned the entire house while Kunimi and Matsukawa made something to eat. When Oikawa woke up, it was already dark. He laid there facing his ceiling, thinking about what happened earlier. He stood up and went to his bathroom, he quickly took a bath and then looked at the mirror. I almost killed myself. I need to stop this. I need to move on. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath before smiling. "I need to let this feelings go for myself, and for the people around me." He said to himself before going out and changing to new pair of clothes. When he went to the living room he saw Kunimi,Kindaichi,Matsukawa and Hanamaki sitting on the couch and watching a movie. He also noticed that his place was already cleaned.

"Hey guys, I'm hungry. " He said with a slight smile and rubbed his nape.

The four of them looked at him and grinned. "Kunimi and Matsukawa made something to eat. Let's have dinner after we prepare the table."Kindaichi  said. He stood up and gave Oikawa a pat on the back. Kunimi smiled at him and gave him a hug. Matsukawa also did the same. Hanamaki, the last one to stand up from the couch gave him a tight hug "I'm glad you're back." He said and hugged him. Oikawa hugged him back,tightly. "I'm sorry." he whispered. "It's ok. Stop, don't you dare start crying." Hanamaki said grinning while patting Oikawa's head. "Waah Makki-chan you're ruining my hair!" he pouted and glared at him but then laughed and wiped the tears on his eyes. 

"Guys thank you for being always at my side and for saving me." He said with a smile and joined them in the table.
