RICHIE'S POV

I literally don't know what just happened. First there was a clown, where did it even come from? There aren't any carnivals on at the moment. Second, oh my god so much running. I'm not made out for that much physical activity.

And.. she kissed me? It wasn't on the lips but still. What does that even mean? Was it a 'thank you' or is she in to me? We've known each other for a day, don't be stupid. There's absolutely no way she's got feelings for me already.

I open the door and walk inside of my house. I don't think anyone's home yet, sweet. I go to my room and throw my bag on the floor, but as I do a white slip of paper falls out. I don't remember putting anything in my bag..

I pick it up and it's got a number written on it in nice handwriting. Much better than my terrible chicken scratches, that's for sure. There was a small 'xoxo' at the end of the phone number. Then it hits me, I had my lightbulb moment.

I go back to the living room where the phone is and I dial the number. It rings for a bit, but then a familiar voice comes from the other end of the line. "Hello?" it asks. A smile forms on my face.

"Hey, did you put your number in my bag?" I ask her. A gentle laugh can be heard from the other end of the line. "I might have.. I didn't even know if you'd find it!" She says with a chuckle. "How did you even manage to get it in there?" I ask, twirling the phone cord around my finger. "Why would I tell you, there's more fun in the mystery right?" She says with a smile evident in her voice.

We make small talk for a while, just talking about how she's liking her classes so far and whatever.

"Are you coming tomorrow?" She asks me. Coming to what, was there something I didn't know about? The losers wouldn't make plans without me.. right? "Um— coming to what?"

"We're all going to the sewers I think, something about Bill's little brother? He didn't really say much when he told me so I'm not exactly sure." She replies with a more serious sounding tone in her voice. "I don't exactly know why the sewers but I wanna be there for Bill, you know?" She continues with sincerity in her voice. She hasn't even known Bill for long but she still wants to support him.

"I get it. I wasn't told about this, am I even invited?" I ask. She lets out a small gasp. "Of course you are, I told the guys that I'd ask you cause I knew we'd be talking later."

"Bill came over not long ago to ask me if I wanted to tag along." She says. I sigh in relief, I was scared I wasn't meant to know about this. Even if I wasn't, I'm sure y/n would say something right?

"Cool, what time are we meeting up tomorrow?" I ask. She hums "I think Bill said 12pm, like I'm 99% sure that's what he said." I nod my head, even though no one can see me..

"I'll see you then!" I say to her. She giggles "Goodbye Rich." is the last thing I hear before the line goes dead silent. I put the phone back in it's spot, then I go back to my room.

This is the third time today that y/n has had me smiling like an idiot. Why is this even happening to me? I get changed into comfier clothes and lay on my bed. I stare at the ceiling, getting lost in my own thoughts.

Those thoughts are all about y/n. I seriously can't get her out of my head. She's so nice, and pretty.. Hell, we barely know each other. It's probably just some little crush, it'll go away eventually.

Slowly I drift off to sleep, I didn't realise how tired I was. As my eyes start to close and I get comfy, the last thing that crosses my mind is her. I really can't stop thinking about her. Does she feel the same way about me?

It's weird what one single person can do to you. Just her presence alone is enough to brighten my day and I've known her for what, a few days? Not even. You gotta get yourself together Richie.
