"So, I won't see you again if I don't go with you two? You know I'm leaving tomorrow, I want to make the most of what I have left."
"Fine."

I smiled as Ross scooped Ian up into his arms, spinning him around and making airplane noises. I was glad that they got on so well, but I was anxious for Ian's reaction when I told him Ross was his father.
I grabbed Ian out of Ross's grip, holding him tightly as Ian giggled hysterically. I was trying incredibly hard not to laugh. Ross smirked, wrapping his arms around both of us and squeezing us tightly against his body. I looked up at him, finding myself staring at his eyes until my gaze fell to his lips and suddenly, I wanted nothing more than to kiss him. God, what was this man doing to me?
"Hey there, pretty girl. Like what ya see?" Ross smirked even more as he tapped my nose.
I felt a blush creep up on my cheeks and I hid my face in Ian's blonde locks, kissing his head. "Mommy!" He chirped, snapping his head up and hitting my chin with his sudden movement.
"Buddy. Be careful, love. Don't want your beautiful mommy hurt, do you?" Ross smiled softly at Ian then at me before reaching over to rub my chin and I gave him a confused look. "Want me to kiss it better?"
"Maybe another time." I gave him half a smile, unable to stop myself from blushing.
"I'm sorry, mommy." Ian pouted and I pressed my lips to the soft skin of his cheek.
"It's okay. You didn't hurt me, sweetheart." I held onto him as I carried him out of the playground to sit down at a bench with Ross following close behind.
I glanced at Ross every now and then, seeing how the light hit his blonde messed up hair and his hazel eyes which seemed to light up when he looked over at me. He leaned closer to me, whispering in my ear so that Ian wouldn't hear, "You look so beautiful. You know that, don't you?" I looked at him to notice that he was giving me a puppy look and I slowly shook my head, making him furrow his eyebrows. "When are we going to tell Ian?"
At the sound of his name, Ian stared at me then at Ross, obviously confused by how close this 'stranger' had gotten to me.
"Baby, I-I have to tell you something."
"Y-yes? What is it mommy? Are you okay?" My son made my heart melt when he always asked if I was okay because he knew that we only had each other, although that might change if Ross became part of that life too.
"Of course, sweetie. I'm okay. I just-" I stared at my lap when Ross placed his hands on top of mine, giving them a gentle squeeze.
"We have something to tell you, bud."
"Can someone please just tell me?" I heaved a sigh when Ian started to get impatient.
"Buddy, did you ever wonder who your daddy is?" Ross spoke up and I anxiously bit my lip, suddenly finding the sky incredibly interesting.
"Y-yes but mommy never said why he isn't with us anymore. I wish I knew him. I mean, I love mommy and I love Mel but playing football with girls isn't the same as playing with boys."
"Buddy.... h-how would you feel if it turned out that I-I was your dad?" I watched Ross look at our son with a hopeful, but nervous smile. We were both terrified of what Ian's reaction would be.
"But...how? Why? Why did you leave us?" Ian stared at him, wide eyed and I could see his bottom lip beginning to tremble.
"Bud, look. I know it seems like I purposefully left you but I promise, I didn't. You see," Ross paused, looking at me and I nodded slowly, "me and your mommy were together long before you were born but then we decided that we didn't really work out being together so we ended things."
I smoothed down Ian's hair and brushed his cheek, wanting to calm him before he started crying. "And then we met again a few years later and one thing turned to another and that's how we ended up with you being born." Ross smiled as he rubbed my knee gently.
"W-why did you decide to see us again?"
"Well I actually found mommy's twitter account on the Internet and messaged her, telling her that I wanted to meet you. When we met at the park, she told me all about you and how amazing you are."
"You're such a stalker, Ross." I rolled my eyes, remembering how only a week ago I hated his guts for finding my Twitter and messaging me. And I found it a tad bit funny that he thought Ian knew what Twitter was.
"How did you know where we were?"
"Your grandma told me because I ran into her on the street in Los Angeles."
"Mommy! Where is Los....Angeles?"
"It's where me and your daddy met." I smiled, remembering the day that Ross and I met at the beach.
"You two can come to me and we can go to the exact spot where we met, I promise." Ross grabbed Ian's tiny hands. To both of our shock, Ian threw his arms around Ross's shoulders, hardly managing because of how short his arms were and how broad Ross's shoulders were.
"I love you, daddy!"
Ross' eyes filled with tears at Ian's declaration, a couple of rogue droplets rolling down his cheeks. He tightened his hold around my son, our son, and kissed his head softly.
"I love you, too, buddy."
I quickly took my phone out, snapping a few pictures of the two of them. I would be lying if I didn't say I was crying too, the emotional side of me coming out.
Wiping my eyes, I cleared my throat. "Come on, let's go get some ice cream. But then we have to go home because it's getting late, okay, honey?"
"Sounds good to me." Ian shrugged as he held Ross's hand when we stood up. I could see how Ross couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear, as Ian pulled him along to the ice cream stall.
Ross decided to order our ice creams, tapping his fingers against the edge of the ordering till and after a few minutes he turned around, making me squeal when I realized that he had brought me my favorite ice cream.
"You remembered!" I squealed, almost jumping up and down in excitement.
"Of course. How would I ever forget?" He smiled shyly and I giggled, scooping some of his ice cream from his cone with my pinky and poking his nose, leaving some ice cream on it.
"Heyyyy!" He grabbed my ice cream and I closed my eyes tightly shut, thinking that he'll shove it in my face but when I opened my eyes, my ice cream was in my hand but something cold was on the tip of my nose.
"Are you really going to go this way, Mr. Lynch?" I put my hand on my hip as Ross smirked, looping his free hand around my waist to pull me closer.
"You asked for it." He winked at me as he rested the side of his head against mine and I busted out laughing when he licked the tip of my nose. Our faces were only inches apart and he looked so hot, that I desperately wanted to kiss him.
"Now you can do the same to me." His lips curved into a smirk as he leaned in with his nose closer to my lips. Instead, I wiped the ice cream off with my fingers and softly pecked his lips, which slowly turned into a more passionate kiss when he pulled me even closer.
"You have no idea how much I've wanted to do that." He whispered when we pulled back and I wrapped one arm around his waist, hugging him as tightly as I could whilst holding my ice cream with my other hand at a distance away from his jacket.
"Ross, we need to talk when we get back home."
