Forevermore

Prologue

 Haley Winter and Taylor Stone were sitting in a church getting a lecture about safety. Haley reviewing in her head what she was going to say to her mom after what had happened that morning, while Lily was trying to stay awake. Both girls were startled by a large explosion that came from behind them. Taylor looked over next to her to find Haley gone, but when she started to look for her she was hit on the head and fell to the ground.

Jacob Ross was sitting three rows in front of Haley and Taylor. He was thinking about asking his parents to have Chick-Fil-A for dinner when they picked him up. He heard a bang, he saw someone being thrown to the ground. He looked closer to realize it was Haley, a friend from school. He tried to run over there, but got knocked to the ground and was unconscious.

Patrick Gray was on the Redwood football field. He was practicing with Nick Clark to get a starting spot in the game on Friday. Since it was Saturday, no one would be on the field interfering with their practice drills. Suddenly, a scream from the north end of the field, where the woods were, was heard. They ran over to see what was happening. As they got to the edge of the field, both boys were hit on the head with something hard that knocked them both out.

Josh Thompson was in the main St. Mark office with Jack and William Winter, his best friends. He was waiting for their sister, Haley, to be done with the lecture. They felt the ground shake and all three ran outside and saw the entrance of the church in smoke. They ran towards the entrance, helping people who had been affected by the explosion or whatever happened at the church. Jack and Josh realized William had gone inside to help their sister. When a scream filled the air they ran in to help.
