Never Thought

First Impression Mostly Lasts..

Im Ming and It was a crazy hot summer where I don't want to leave our house, where I can play videogames overnight, no family outing or swimming under the rays of sun. I just want to lock myself in to my room that's it!

"Urgh! Why do I have to be here?"

I murmur as I tried to fake a smile wearing a black suit and trying to look good as ever. I don't have any business right here but my parents grabbed me and making a family picture perfect! And I hate that! In our house I grew up independent to them, my parents talks to me when I messed up something, like breaking vases which we do have alot of them. Anyway, i managed to get away from that illusion and tried to go home alone but I was lost!

"What?" I felt dizzy because the mansion was big enough for me to play with. And so I didn't escaped.
"There you are mr.!" My mom was naging me.
I was pulled out again but this time we had food!
I was enjoying the food on my plate then suddenly someone smaller than me sat besides me and I was like 'who cares?' I like chicken! So I did enjoy the party and that is because of chicken! Dunno why? Let us keep it that way.

"Oh my! He was already grown up! Such a very handsome boy" My mom is a total best actress there, she never look at me like that, like she's looking in something who's precious to her,
"My, my... What do we have here?" As my father patted his head while the petite guy shook his head.

Inside of me was saying they never did those things to me, i never felt i was loved. I just saw a admirable family.
But Naaaah! Im not gonna cry!
And he saw me, off guard, he sees directly my feelings! I'm not showy but I'm also not numb, I need love! I need their attention! My inner self was telling me. I turn away and continue to eat. While the adults were chit chatting, he grabbed me.

"Hey!, where are you taking me?!?" I shouted but seems no one is listening

"....." He remained silent

"Okay.. Okay! Let go of me now!" I don't know why I'm upset, is it because I didn't finished my meal? Or I was grabbed?
We run to a room big enough for ten people to live, it was a little boy's room.

"..so why you bring me here? To your room?" I ask like a spoiled brat child.
He walk through me like I wasn't even asking him, he sat down and turn the tv and play the video games!

"What? A new series of this game?" I'm amazed "I have to wait for next week for the first release and you have it?" My jaw dropped and my eye balls almost went out of my head.

"... Uhmm, i have it about two weeks by now.." I'm glad he can talk.

"mind if I could also play?" I asked

"Uhmmm...." I was disappointed that he wouldn't let me "..sure! That's why I let you come with me!" Im smiling from ear to ear feels like Im having the best day of my life!
We play for a long time.

"Wait, i need to pee!" I stood up.

"Hurry!" He said.

I was enjoying my long pee and someone is shouting outside. I heard an adults voice, like my dad shouting at me.

"Don't you know that you have to be there? And you played this damn video games?" The man shouted and I run out of the comfort room.

"Wait sir!" He looked at me terribly!
"Don't get mad at him, Im the one who wants to play" i protested

" who is this kid?" Looked at the small boy while he was shaken by fear.

"I am mingkwan... Sawadee krub" i bow down to greet him

"..so you're the one who let my son escape from my event? Don't you know it's important for me?" He paused.

I swallow my saliva before answering ".. I knew that sir, because my parents are also there, but it is an adult business and we're just a kid, we don't know your world,my teacher said children must play .... "

"So? Are you telling me now what to do with my own son? And didn't your teacher tells you that, you should obey your parents??.." He said hysterically

"I'm saying sir, we're just kids theres no wrong on doing what should a kid supposedly doing... Sir" I finished the sentence with a low tone while heading down.

And the man looked at Wayo who already pee on his pants showing how fear he felt. His father calls the Butler and clean wayo and bring sweets in his room!
"Don't forget my fried chicken.... Please!" As my exciting voice turns into humiliation.

The man just laugh saying ".. You're a brave and clever child, bring fried chicken here! You should be friends with my son"

"Yes Sir!" I stated.

He walked in the direction of the small boy and hug him, i can't hear what they were talking about just focus on my fried chicken. "Gravy please" I silently tells the Butler.

Before the old man leaves, "You're Ming? Ming Kwan? Right?" He ask. "Yesh shir!" I cannot talk that much because my mouth was filled by chicken, he just laugh again and then finally left the room with the butler staying outside of the door.

"Hi, Ming Kwan" the little boy suddenly talk to me. "Oh yes, What's your name?" I forgot to ask his name. "Wayo..." He answered shyly and smile at me. We continue to play all day and wake up I was in my room and it was morning.

"Hello dear" my mom served me a pancake with a mousse and cherry on top.
"You sleep so well last night Mr!" While reading a newspaper.
I don't know what I did but it changes the mood of this family and I suddenly think about wayo and how he was hugged by his father warmly.

I was his defender that time and he was the prince that I needed to protect.

And we keep on seeing each other because we enrolled in the same school and we're in the same age but I'm older by 2months but I let him call me by my name..

"Ai'Ming!" He shouted while trying to run over me.

We sure became so attached to each other like brothers...
