Isabel's POV:

First day of school

"Isabel, wake up it's your first day of school" my step-mom says. I would've covered my head with my pillow like most teenagers, but I really was not in the mood to get icy cold water dumped on me. I groan as I stretch my arms and legs. A yawn seemed to escape my lips as I stretched.  It was my first year of high school so I wanted to look my very best, especially since I just took off my braces and dyed my hair honey blonde. I hop off my bed and to my closet. My pointer finger taps on my chin as I think of what to wear. I shuffle through all my clothes on the plastic hangers until I find the perfect outfit. It was a pink crop top that had the word SMILE written across my boobs, some wripped up light bluish grayish shorts and some light brown combat boots. My hair was wavy because I put it in a braid last night. I took one last look in the mirror, fixed my hair, grabbed my backpack then head dowstairs.                                                        *****************************

I stood in front of Sunny Hook High School I gulped as i took steps up the stairs. High School is...wow just wow. I enter the hallways where people were hugging and laughing. I feel so awkward since i dont have any friends. I stroll all the way down the hallway until i reach my locker. My boy locker neighbors were  leaning on their locker talking to two pretty girls. I felt even more uncomftorable after i over heard what they were talking about.

"So who do you think is going to be in the games this year?" The blonde girl on my right asks.

"I dont know, but the freshman should really watch thier backs" The boy on my right replies. I continue to stuff my new text books into the gray lockers and wonder what the games are. As i slam the door shut, the bell rings, signaling everyone to head to first period. The herd of teenagers move down the hall to thier classes. I stuck out like a sore thumb, i was totally lost.

"Excuse me-" i say but no one bothers to stop and help the fresh meat. I sigh as i roam around the hallways checking every room number. RM 16...17...18...

"Hey, girl, are you lost" some random guy shouts. I roll my eyes at his stupid little nickname for me.

"I have a name which is NOT girl and no im not lost...i...just dont have a sense of direction" I reply.

He chuckles at my reply and slings his backpack off his shoulder. He unzips the small pocket in front of his black Jansport backpack and pulls out a piece of paper. The strange boy started walking towards me. He shows me a map of the school and I search for my room. It turns out, it is upstairs.

"Im Isabel by the way" I introduce myself.

"Im Logan"

Awkward silence filled the air.

"So...do you like...i dont know...want to go do something sometime" he asks as we start strolling to my class.

"Like a date?" I couldn't stop blushing or smiling.

"If you want"

Logan was a hot guy with an attitude which totally turned me on. I always dreamed about dating a bad boy.

"Sure, why not." I chirp

His face lit up as soon as spoke.

"great umm"-he dug into his backpack again and pulled out an expo marker-"give me your arm"

I give him a strange look but stretch my arm out.

"My number's 555-6721" he says as he writes it on my arm. I smile at him. He looked so cute!

"well i guess this is my stop" i say. We were both in front of my classroom door.

"well...see ya..at a pool party? at 8?" he says

"its a date"

He smiles one last time before walking past me to his class. My heart was beating a million times faster than normal. And i had no problem with it.
